Itinerary
- Day 1
Cape Town to Botlierskop Game Reserve
You'll get picked up from your Cape Town place and head out to Botlierskop Private Game Reserve. The afternoon game drive is where things get interesting, with chances to see rhino, buffalo, giraffe and other wildlife. After that, you'll continue on to the Garden Route area and settle in for dinner with the rest of your group.

Tsitsikamma National Park
After breakfast, you're heading toward Tsitsikamma National Park with its coastal forests and dramatic cliffs. You've got free time here to pick your own adventure, whether that's ziplining, bungee jumping off the Bloukrans Bridge, or taking a forest hike. Later you'll transfer to accommodation near Storms River or Knysna. You'll arrange your own dinner at a local seafood restaurant.

Addo Elephant National Park
Start with a relaxed breakfast and then you'll have free time on one of the Garden Route beaches if you want to swim or sunbathe. From there, you're heading toward Addo Elephant National Park for a late afternoon game drive where you might spot elephants, lions, zebras and other animals. The day wraps up with a group dinner.

Landmarks Addo Elephant National Park - Day 4
Cango Caves
After breakfast, you'll drive west into the Klein Karoo to explore the Cango Caves with their ancient limestone formations. Your guide takes you through winding tunnels and chambers throughout the cave system. If there's time, you can optionally visit a nearby elephant sanctuary for an educational experience. You'll arrive at your hotel in Oudtshoorn or Barrydale, and dinner is on your own.

Landmarks Cango Caves - Day 5
Route 62 to Cape Town
Your day starts with a guided tour of a working ostrich farm where you'll learn about these birds and their importance to the Karoo region. Then you'll travel along the scenic Route 62, often compared to US Route 66, and stop at charming wine estates for tastings along the way. By evening you're back at your Cape Town accommodation. You'll arrange your own dinner.

Landmarks Route 62 - Day 6
Cape Winelands
After breakfast, you'll head into the Cape Winelands and spend the day visiting top wine estates across Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl. You'll do multiple tastings of wines, cheeses and chocolates at each stop. Lunch is at one of the vineyard restaurants and you'll pay for that yourself. Your evening is free with no group dinner arranged.

Cape Peninsula
After breakfast, you'll take a scenic drive down the Cape Peninsula with stops at Hout Bay and Chapman's Peak Drive. You can visit the Boulders Beach penguin colony if you'd like (entry fee separate). Then you'll reach the Cape of Good Hope at Africa's southwestern tip. You have the option to walk up to the lighthouse or take the funicular for views. You'll be back at your Cape Town accommodation in the late afternoon.
