Calgary
You'll arrive in Calgary and can grab an airport transfer between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM, with shuttles running every 2 hours. The day opens up for your own schedule, so you might head to your hotel first or jump into one of the optional activities. If you want to get out and explore, you've got choices like the Calgary City Tour, Heritage Park, or the Calgary Zoo, but they need to wrap up by 1:00 PM so you can check in at your hotel in the afternoon. CrossIron Mill is another shopping option if that appeals to you.

Lake Louise - Moraine Lake - Yoho - Spiral Tunnel - Emerald Lake - Natural Bridge
Today takes you into the Canadian Rockies where you'll see Lake Louise with its turquoise water that's perfect for photos or if you want to get out on the water by canoe. From there, you head into Yoho National Park to check out the Spiral Tunnel, an impressive engineering feat, and Emerald Lake with its distinctive glacial-fed color. Later you'll visit either Moraine Lake or Vermillion Lake depending on seasonal closures. The Valley of the Ten Peaks setting here is beautiful, and you'll also pass the Natural Bridge that's been carved out by water erosion over time.

Bow Lake - Icefield Parkway - Columbia Icefield - Athabasca Falls - Jasper
The Icefield Parkway is the main route today, a 232 km drive through the Rocky Mountain Parks World Heritage Site that's known as one of Canada's best scenic drives. You'll stop at Bow Lake to see where the Bow River starts, then reach Columbia Icefield where there's an option to ride the Ice Explorer onto the Athabasca Glacier if you're interested. The Glacier Skywalk is another optional activity there. Before heading to Jasper for the night, you'll see Athabasca Falls and experience the powerful water flow coming from the Columbia Glacier.

Jasper - Maligne Lake - Maligne Canyon - Medicine Lake - Peyto Lake - Crowfoot Glacier
Jasper National Park is your focus today starting with Maligne Lake, the largest natural lake in the Canadian Rockies, where you can choose to take a scenic cruise across it. After that, you'll walk through Maligne Canyon carved into limestone over thousands of years. Medicine Lake comes next and it's known for being one of the largest sinking rivers in the Western Hemisphere. You'll also see Peyto Lake with its bright turquoise glacial water or Waterfowl Lake if the first is closed, and finish at Crowfoot Glacier to see how climate change has affected this formation.

- Day 5
Banff - Calgary
Your last day covers Banff National Park, Canada's first national park. The Banff Sulphur Mountain Gondola is optional and gives you panoramic views with boardwalk trails to walk. Johnston Canyon has dramatic waterfalls and scenic paths if you want to hike around there. You'll also pass Bow Falls near the iconic Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel and stop at Surprise Corner for photos. The Hoodoos rock formations are distinctive and worth seeing, then you'll have time to walk around Banff Town checking out shops and restaurants before heading to Calgary Airport around 7:30 PM.
