Itinerary
- Day 1
Cape Peninsula
Start your day heading down the Cape Peninsula to check out some of the region's best coastal spots. You'll walk along the white sand at Clifton and Camps Bay, where the beaches back right up against the mountains. After that, head to Cape Point to see where two ocean currents meet at those dramatic cliffs. If you're interested, there's the option to take a boat out to Seal Island or swing by Simon's Town to see the African penguin colony there. Before wrapping up, spend some time at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, which sits on the eastern slopes of Table Mountain and has over 9,000 plant species spread across 36 hectares.

- Day 2
Cape Peninsula Full Day
You'll leave between 08:00 and 09:00 for a full day exploring the peninsula. The route takes you through Clifton and Camps Bay first, then up past the Twelve Apostles mountains. From there, head into Hout Bay and take the scenic Chapman's Peak Drive, which winds along the coast with water on both sides. Later you'll pass through Noordhoek and stop for an ostrich-viewing drive. At the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, see the famous 238-meter lighthouse at Cape Point. Afterward, go to Boulders Beach in Simon's Town to watch the Jackass penguins up close, then drive back through Muizenberg and Constantia before returning around 17:30.

- Day 3
Robben Island
Take a trip to Robben Island, the UNESCO World Heritage Site about 11 kilometers off the coast. The island holds deep meaning in South African history, as it's where Nelson Mandela spent 18 of his 27 years in prison, confined to a cell measuring just 8 by 7 feet. You'll walk through the island's past as a place of punishment and separation for nearly 300 years, learning how it functioned at different times as a political prison, lunatic asylum, and leper colony. Most visits include a guided tour and time to explore the main landmarks on the site.
