Itinerary
- Day 1
Madrid - Salamanca - Porto
You'll depart Madrid at 8:00 a.m. and head toward Salamanca, a historic university city where you get free time to walk around the old town. The Plaza Mayor there is worth seeing, with its Baroque architecture and all. After that you'll travel on to Porto for the night, so you have time to settle in and maybe grab dinner before turning in.

- Day 2
Porto
After breakfast, you'll start with a panoramic tour of Porto, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The tour covers the cathedral, the Stock Exchange, and the Church of Santa Clara. By mid-afternoon you'll visit a local wine cellar to try some Port wine, and then the rest of your day opens up for wandering around on your own. You can explore neighborhoods, grab lunch, or just relax.

Porto - Coimbra - Fátima - Lisbon
You'll leave Porto in the morning and head to Coimbra, where one of Europe's oldest universities sits and where fado music started. You'll have time to check things out at your own pace before moving on to Fátima, one of the world's major pilgrimage destinations. There you can visit the Basilica and Sanctuary, then you'll travel to Lisbon for the night. If you're interested, a traditional fado performance is available in the evening.

- Day 4
Lisbon
Following breakfast, you'll get a panoramic tour of Lisbon, which sits right at the mouth of the Tagus River. You'll see the Park Viewpoint, Edward VII Square, Rossio Square, and Liberdade Avenue. Then you'll walk through the Madragoa District, the birthplace of traditional fado, before heading to Belem to see the Tower of Belém, the Monument to the Discoveries, and the Jerónimos Monastery. Your afternoon is free, though you can book an optional excursion to Sintra, Cascais, and Estoril if you want.

Lisbon - Mérida - Madrid
After breakfast you'll travel toward the Spanish border and reach Mérida, which has some of Spain's most impressive archaeological sites. You'll get time to see the Roman Theatre and Amphitheatre, both UNESCO World Heritage sites. From there you'll head back to Madrid where the tour wraps up.
