Itinerary
- Day 1
Qooqqut to Itinnera
You'll start by walking along the coastline with sea and cliff views stretching out in front of you. Then comes the climb over Sulussuutaasaq mountain ridge where the fjord panorama opens up. After descending to the Itinnera cabin area, you can try traditional handfishing for Arctic trout if you're interested. Dinner happens by the river with the Arctic sky above you.

Itinnera to Qooqqut
After breakfast, pack up camp and head back along yesterday's route. Then you'll pivot northward around Qaarusuk mountain. Once you reach the Qooqqut cabin area, there's a local restaurant where you can grab a meal and beer. Later in the evening you'll set up camp for the night in a quiet spot.

Landmarks Qaarusuk - Day 3
Qooqqut to Sulugssugit Fjord
Following breakfast, trek northeast through a valley with tall peaks on either side of you. You'll climb up to a pass that opens to fjord views in every direction. After that descent brings you toward Sulugssugutip Kangerlua right by the water. Keep your eyes open for wildlife as the sun gets lower, then sit down for dinner.

Landmarks Sulugssugutip Kangerlua - Day 4
Sulugssugit Fjord to Ikkarluit
You'll wake to water sounds and have breakfast before starting along the fjord's edge where the water and cliffs dominate the landscape. The route takes you through valleys and rocky ground, and seabirds and seals are often visible. Midday you'll stop at a scenic overlook for packed lunch. By evening camp is set up near Ikkarluit.

Landmarks Ikkarluit - Day 5
Ikkarluit to Kapisillit Camp
After breakfast, trek toward Camp 6 near Kapisillit village. Along the way you'll pass an old reindeer farm from the 1950s-60s and your guide shares the local history. The camping spot has views down over Kapisillit Fjord. Dinner here lets you take in the day and the surroundings.

Salmon River
You'll trek to the final camp located by Greenland's only river with a salmon population. Your guide explains the unique ecosystem and why the wildlife matters here. Watch for birds fishing and other animals moving around. There's an optional walk to nearby Kapisillit village if you want to see local culture and talk with residents.

Landmarks Salmon River Kapisillit - Day 7
Kapisillit Area
This day is yours to spend as you like around the area. You can hike gently through rolling foothills with mountains framing the fjord and look for wildlife. Or visit a nearby sheep farm to learn how traditional Greenlandic farming works. Your final camp night is here for reflecting on the trek with other people in your group.

Landmarks Kapisillit - Day 8
Kapisillit to Nuuk
Trek through different landscapes heading toward Kangersuneq Ice Fjord where you'll hear ice cracking and see jagged mountain peaks. After taking in the icefjord, you board a boat for transfer through the fjord system to Nuuk. Once there, explore Greenland's capital, check out local culture, and consider a meal at a restaurant to mark the end of your journey.
