Rabat to Chefchaouen
After transferring from Rabat to Chefchaouen (about 4 hours), you'll check into your accommodation. Later you'll explore Quartier Al Andalous, then head to Ras El Ma Spring to relax by riverside cafes and watch the sunset from the Spanish Mosque.

- Day 3
Chefchaouen
Wake early to catch the sunrise over the mountains from the Spanish Mosque while blue buildings glow in the morning light. You'll wander the serene town before most shops open. In the afternoon, a guided hike in the Rif Mountains takes you through cedar forests to Akchour Waterfall and God's Bridge natural rock formation. By evening you'll be back in Chefchaouen exploring the medina at your own pace. The hike runs about 1 hour travel time.

Chefchaouen to Fes
You'll start early and head out from Chefchaouen with a private guide who'll take you through the Roman ruins of Volubilis. This ancient site was once the western edge of the Roman Empire, so you'll see some impressive architecture and get a sense of what life was like centuries ago. From there, you'll continue on to Meknes for a tour of the Imperial city before settling into your accommodation in Fes. The whole drive takes about 5 hours, but you'll have time to stop and see the sights along the way.

Fes

Fes to Merzouga
You're leaving Fes early in the morning and heading into the Middle Atlas Mountains. The drive crosses through scenic alpine-style towns like Ifrane and you'll pass through cedar forests where you might see Barbary monkeys if you're lucky. As you get closer to the Sahara, you'll come across nomadic villages and stop at Ziz Valley for some photos. You'll arrive in Merzouga late in the evening, check into your riad, and get settled. The journey takes about 8 hours total, so there's plenty of time to take in the changing landscape.

- Day 7
Merzouga
Get up early and watch the sun rise over the Sahara dunes from your riad. After breakfast, you're heading out on a 4x4 adventure across the golden Erg Chebbi dunes to explore the desert and visit nomadic families to learn how they live. You'll check out Khamliya Village and listen to local music at the Gnaoua House. Back at your riad, you'll have time to relax by the pool. Later, you'll ride camels at sunset out to a desert camp where you'll have dinner under the stars with Berber music playing. You'll sleep right there in the desert.
