Tokyo
You'll land in Japan and work through customs before getting transferred to your hotel on a shared shuttle bus. Spend the rest of the day settling in and getting comfortable. By late afternoon, your guide will reach out with information about tomorrow's tour to help you prepare.

- Day 2
Tokyo
Your morning starts with a five-hour guided tour covering Tokyo's major sites. You'll see Zojoji Temple with its view of Tokyo Tower and countless Jizo statues, then move through the busy Shibuya Crossing. From there, check out Meiji Shrine and the upscale Omotesando Avenue before walking around the Imperial Palace and its gardens, including Nijubashi Bridge. Head through Akihabara's electronics district, then take the elevator up Tokyo Skytree for views across the city. Later, walk through the historic Sensoji Temple and Nakamise Street in Asakusa. By evening, your guide takes you by subway to Shinjuku where you'll walk the lively district and have dinner at a local restaurant before heading back to your hotel.

- Day 3
Tokyo - Kyoto
Early morning means catching the bullet train to Kyoto, a journey of nearly 500 km that takes just over two hours. This former capital has its own character since it avoided bombing during World War II. Spend your day at Fushimi Inari Shrine with its thousands of red gates, then move on to the Imperial Palace and the famous Kinkakuji Temple with its surrounding gardens. Later, you'll have free time to wander through Gion, Kyoto's traditional neighborhood full of geisha culture and activity.

- Day 4
Kyoto - Nara - Osaka
Travel to Nara and spend time at Todaiji, a Buddhist temple built back in 752 that holds a giant Buddha statue inside. You can take photos and interact with the deer that walk freely around the park. After lunch, head to Horyu-ji Buddhist Temple, a UNESCO site where the central pagoda stands as one of the world's oldest wooden buildings and Japan's oldest Buddhist temple. Continue on to Osaka by evening. Once there, check out the colorful Dotonbori district with its busy nightlife and entertainment.

- Day 5
Osaka - Himeji - Okayama
Head to Himeji to explore its huge castle complex, a great example of Japanese castle architecture and layout. After grabbing lunch at a local restaurant, continue to Okayama and visit Korakuen, featuring lakes, waterfalls, and traditional teahouses. Cross a pedestrian bridge to reach Okayama Castle, a sixteenth-century structure that was rebuilt in 1966 following World War II damage. You'll have free time to wander this active provincial city with over 700,000 residents.

- Day 6
Okayama - Kurashiki - Hiroshima - Miyajima
Head to Kurashiki and take a leisurely walk through its well-preserved historic center where old-town atmosphere is still present. Then travel to Hiroshima and see the Peace Memorial Park, the Atomic Bomb Dome, and the Peace Memorial Museum, which tell the powerful story of the city's history and recovery. A ferry takes you to Miyajima island where you'll visit the famous Itsukushima Shrine, built partially over the water and dedicated to the sea guardian. Explore the shrine, wander the town center, and grab lunch there. By evening, you're back at your Hiroshima hotel with dinner included.

Hiroshima - Tokyo
After breakfast, head to the station to catch the bullet train back to Tokyo. The four-hour journey covers 800 kilometers and gets you to Tokyo around 2:00 pm, wrapping up your tour. Check your flight details in case you want to book another night in Tokyo before heading home.
