Itinerary
- Day 1
Osh
You'll arrive at Osh International Airport and head to your hotel to get settled in. After dropping your bags, the rest of the day is yours to wander around the city however you'd like. The local bazaar is worth checking out if you're interested in the market scene, or there's a shopping street if you prefer browsing shops. If you're up for some activity, you can take the stairway trail up Suleiman-Too Mountain, which sits at 1092 meters and gives you views across Osh from the top.

- Day 2
Kyrgyz-Ata National Park
This morning you'll transfer out to Kyrgyz-Ata National Park in the foothills of the Alay Mountains. A scenic walk takes you up the gorge to around 1600 meters, and you'll pass through juniper forests and wild rose thickets while hearing a rushing river below. Yaks and horses graze in the meadows as you make your way along the trail with mountain views around you. Lunch happens in a yurt where you'll try traditional national dishes and kumis while learning how nomadic families live. Horse riding is available if you want it, though that costs extra.

Pamir Highway to Edelweiss Meadow
You'll travel along the Pamir Highway, which ranks among the world's top 10 most beautiful roads. The landscape shifts through red mountains, rivers, and the Alay Valley as you climb up the serpentine road to Taldyk Pass at 3600 meters, where Lenin Peak at 7134 meters comes into view. By evening you reach Edelweiss Meadow yurt camp at 3600 meters. From there, a 2 hour walk takes you to Lukovaya Meadow at 3800 meters, and you'll explore Achik-Tash Canyon with its distinctive pillar rocks and the colorful mountains surrounding it.

- Day 4
Achik-Tash Valley and Tulpar-Kol Lake
You'll start with an easy hike through the scenic Achik-Tash Valley, wandering past beautiful colorful lakes. The trail continues to the large and pristine Tulpar-Kol Lake, which locals consider sacred. You can walk around the lake from different viewpoints, spotting yaks, horses, and alpine flowers dotting the landscape. During the afternoon you'll learn about daily life and traditions from the nomadic Kyrgyz people. Back at camp, there's a culinary master class where you'll learn to cook Uzgen plov from scratch.

Lenin Peak Glacier Panorama
This hike offers panoramic views of Lenin Peak that most visitors don't get to see. You'll cross the Achik-Tash River bridge and hike parallel to the steep canyon moving toward the massive glacier. The panoramic viewpoint shows you ancient ice, snow, moraines, and those rainbow-colored mountains, plus Lukovaya Meadow, Petrovsky Peak, the Achik-Tash Canyon, and distant climbing routes with Spartak Peak and Krylenko Pass visible. After taking in those views you'll head back to camp.

Puteshestvennikov Pass
You'll ascend to Puteshestvennikov Pass at 4150 meters, which is the highest point of the entire tour and emotionally quite significant. The route passes through Lukovaya Meadow and a beautiful canyon with a picturesque waterfall along the way. At the pass itself, you get spectacular views of Lenin Peak at 7134 meters and its glacier, plus nearby six and five-thousander peaks surrounding you. If you want, you can ascend a bit higher along the ridge to 4200 meters for even better panoramic views before descending back to camp.

Alay Valley Villages and Return to Osh
After an early breakfast you'll transfer to the Alay Valley and head to the small town of Daroot-Korgon to see the ruins of an ancient fortress called 'Kuldatka Wall' from the 19th century. You'll visit a traditional local family to watch them hand-make felt carpets and see how they live. Later you reach Sary-Mogol village for a traditional Kyrgyz dress demonstration and lunch with another local family. The Ethnographic Museum, founded in 1962, has over 100 exhibits worth walking through. The drive back to Osh goes over Taldyk Pass at 3615 meters and Chiirchik Pass at 2408 meters.
