Istanbul
You'll arrive in Istanbul and get transferred to your hotel for check-in. After settling in, the place is yours to explore on your own schedule. Later in the afternoon, the hotel reception will have information posted about your tour, so you can stop by and check that out when you're ready.

Istanbul
A guided tour takes you through Istanbul's highlights, starting with the Süleymaniye Mosque and the ancient city walls along the Golden Horn. You'll see the fishing district and catch views of Hagia Sophia's exterior, then head to Topkapi Palace where Ottoman emperors once governed. The afternoon gives you free time to wander around before heading to Taksim Square for dinner and shopping, with the option to visit Galata Tower if you're interested.

- Day 3
Istanbul
A private boat tour on the Bosphorus lasts roughly two hours on a vessel just for Europamundo travelers. You'll cruise through the strait between the Black Sea and Sea of Marmara, pass under the two bridges connecting Europe and Asia, and see Sultan's palaces along with traditional wooden houses and Ottoman-era architecture. Back in central Istanbul afterward, you'll have free time to explore on your own.

Istanbul to Kusadasi
Early departure from Istanbul takes you through Turkey toward Ephesus, arriving around lunchtime. You'll explore this remarkably well-preserved ancient city, visiting the Basilica of St. John, the House of the Virgin Mary, and the archaeological site itself. From there, head to Kusadasi, a lively coastal town with a traditional castle, where you'll stay overnight with dinner included. Note that from May through October, you'll stay in Izmir instead, with a panoramic city tour and lunch stop in Balikesir the following day.

Kusadasi - Izmir - Bursa to Istanbul
Travel to Izmir for a short guided tour of Turkey's third-largest city, known for its modern and westernized feel. Inland travel continues with a lunch stop along the way before reaching Bursa, the fourth-largest city and home to a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There, you'll walk through traditional shopping districts, see several mosques and religious schools, check out public baths, and visit the Green Mosque. The day ends back in Istanbul.
