Berlin
You'll arrive at your hotel and have time to settle in and relax. During the afternoon, stop by the hotel reception to check for tour information and get oriented before your trip begins.

Berlin
A guided panoramic tour takes you through Berlin's historic center, Museum Island, and past the Reichstag and Brandenburg Gate. You'll see shopping streets and parks, then visit the Holocaust Memorial and Berlin Wall Memorial Museum. If interested, there's an optional day trip to Potsdam to see its palaces.

- Day 3
Berlin - Wolfsburg - Celle - Hannover
Head to Lower Saxony and start in Wolfsburg, the planned city built around the Volkswagen factory. You'll explore Autostadt with its gardens and exhibitions. After that, continue to Celle to walk through its half-timbered old town and see the Renaissance castle. Finish in Hannover, where you can check out the mix of historic and modern architecture plus the extensive parks.

- Day 4
Hannover - Rammelsberg - Goslar - Göttingen - Bad Sooden - Eisenach
After breakfast, visit the Rammelsberg Mines near Goslar, a UNESCO World Heritage site with museum admission included. Then head to Goslar's medieval old town with half-timbered houses and the Church of St. Peter. Stop in Göttingen for lunch and walk through the historic center where the Brothers Grimm lived. Later, pass through the spa town of Bad Sooden before arriving in Eisenach with its Baroque old town, Bach House, and Luther House. Dinner's included tonight.

- Day 5
Eisenach - Gotha - Erfurt - Leipzig
Start your morning at Wartburg Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage fortress where Martin Luther translated the New Testament and where you'll get great views. Return to Eisenach for free time to optionally visit the Bach House or Automobile Museum. Then continue to Gotha to see its Baroque palace and historic center. Later, head to Erfurt to see the cathedral and the unique bridge that's been continuously inhabited for 500 years. You'll arrive in Leipzig, Germany's culturally rich city and former home to composers Bach and Wagner, by evening.

Leipzig - Dresden - Prague
Leaving Leipzig, you'll stop at the Monument to the Battle of the Nations, a 91-meter tall monument from 1913 commemorating a Napoleonic Wars battle. Continue to Dresden, Saxony's capital, known for Baroque and Renaissance architecture, palaces, and scenic Elbe River promenades. You'll have time for lunch and to walk around. Then cross into the Czech Republic and arrive in Prague by mid-afternoon for a panoramic city tour featuring Prague Castle, Old Town Square, and Charles Bridge. In the evening, transfer to the city center to find traditional breweries.

Prague
You have a free day to explore Prague at your own pace and see what interests you most. Or, join an optional tour of Artistic Prague that includes Mala Strana, the Infant Jesus of Prague, St. Nicholas Church, a Vltava River cruise, and the Jewish Quarter.

- Day 8
Prague - Lednice - Gyor - Budapest
Depart early heading for the Moravia region to visit Lednice, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with beautiful gardens and castle. Cross through Slovakia into Hungary, stopping in Gyor, the city of four rivers, for lunch and a relaxed walk. Continue to Budapest, arriving mid-afternoon. In the evening, transfer to the pedestrian area to find traditional restaurants with live music.

- Day 9
Budapest
Take a panoramic tour of Budapest divided by the Danube River, visiting Buda with its historic old town and Pest with its commercial districts. You'll get to see what makes this city special and charming. The afternoon is free so you can explore on your own and check out whatever catches your interest.

- Day 10
Budapest - Bratislava - Trencin - Krakow
Depart early from Budapest and travel through Slovakia to Bratislava, the capital on the Danube's banks. Stroll through its historic center at the foot of the castle. Continue to Trencin, a medieval town with an impressive castle and vibrant historic center. Explore and have lunch, then travel through forested landscapes and rolling hills into Poland, arriving in Krakow at the end of the day.

- Day 11
Krakow - Auschwitz-Birkenau - Czestochowa - Warsaw
Begin with a guided panoramic tour of Krakow, the capital of Little Poland founded in the 7th century, visiting the UNESCO-listed old town, Europe's largest Market Square, and Wawel Hill, former residence of Polish kings. After lunch, travel to Auschwitz-Birkenau, the former concentration camp, to visit Camp II Birkenau where trains arrived from across Europe. Continue to Czestochowa to visit the Monastery of Jasna Gora, home to the Black Madonna pilgrimage site. You'll arrive in Warsaw at the end of the afternoon.

Warsaw - Poznan
