- Day 1
Athens
You'll get transferred to your hotel and have the rest of the day to yourself. Stop by the reception desk in the afternoon to check for any announcements or tour information that's been posted there.

- Day 2
Athens
Your guided city tour starts with a local English-speaking guide showing you the Presidential Mansion, Panathenaic Stadium, and National Library. You'll walk through city squares and see neighborhoods that were built up for the 2004 Olympics. The tour finishes at the Acropolis (you'll need to buy your own entrance ticket). Later, you're transferred to Plaka, the old historic neighborhood, where you can wander around and try Greek tavernas and soak in the local scene.

- Day 3
Athens - Kamena Vourla - Kalambaka
Head out early going north to Kamena Vourla, a seaside town with nice views and scenery. From there, you'll stop at Thermopylae Mountain Pass where that famous historic battle happened, then visit Kastraki village to see the valley below. You'll have free time around lunch, after which you'll head to the Meteora monasteries (a UNESCO site). One monastery entrance is covered. The day ends with dinner provided in Kalambaka.

- Day 4
Kalambaka - Delphi - Athens
Travel south through the Thessaly region with great landscape views heading toward Delphi. You'll explore the archaeological site there, which overlooks the Gulf of Corinth. After you have time for lunch, you visit Hosios Loukas Monastery, one of the best Byzantine monasteries in Greece and a World Heritage Site known for its 11th-century mosaics. Then it's the drive back to Athens, arriving in the evening.
