Arrival Day
You'll be transferred to your hotel and have the rest of the day to settle in at your own pace. Stop by the hotel reception in the afternoon to check for information about when your tour officially starts tomorrow.

London
This morning starts with a guided city tour covering Westminster, Parliament, the City, and the Thames. The afternoon is yours to explore London freely, or you can take an optional trip to Windsor to see its castle. Later in the evening, meet up at Piccadilly to walk through Leicester Square, Chinatown, and Soho before heading back to the hotel by bus.

London
You have the full day to explore London on your own terms. Wander through neighborhoods that interest you, try different restaurants, or just take time to relax and soak in whatever parts of the city appeal to you most.

London to Durham
Head north from London, first stopping in Cambridge to walk through the colleges there. After lunch, continue on to York to see the cathedral, Roman walls, and shopping streets with time to look around. The day ends in Durham, a medieval town where a cathedral sits dramatically above the castle.

Durham to Edinburgh
Travel into Scotland, stopping first in Alnwick to check out the town's gardens and medieval castle (famous from Harry Potter). Arrive in Edinburgh by midday and take a panoramic tour with a local guide through this UNESCO World Heritage capital, where the castle looks down over steep streets and parks.

Winter groups (Nov 15-Feb 28) visit a whisky distillery in Pitlochry, tour Stirling Castle, and see The Kelpies sculptures instead.

Stop in Adare to see its stone cottages and abbey, arriving in Limerick by mid-afternoon with time to explore the center. Dinner is included.

Early morning ferry crossing to Wales takes about three to three and a half hours. Continue to Liverpool for a short bus tour of this World Heritage city with the UK's second-largest port. An optional Beatles Museum visit is available.
