Cancún
You'll land at Cancún airport and pick up your rental car for the drive to your first hotel. After being on a plane for hours, the plan is to take things slow—grab some tacos somewhere local, get settled into your room, and let the Caribbean atmosphere of Yucatán start to sink in.

- Day 2
Isla Mujeres
A ferry takes you out to Isla Mujeres for the day. You can get around the island by golf cart or bike, heading to Punta Sur to see the dramatic cliff formations and Mayan temple ruins. Later, hang out at Playa Norte where the water's clear and turquoise, then stick around for the sunset before heading back to the mainland.

- Day 3
Chichén Itzá - Valladolid
This morning you'll head out early toward Chichén Itzá to see El Castillo pyramid and the other Mayan structures spread across the site. On the way, the route passes through the quiet town of Uayma where you can stop and swim in Cenote San Lorenzo Oxman. After that, drive to Valladolid to wander the colonial streets and have dinner at a well-known local spot.

- Day 4
Ek'Balam - Valladolid
Start with breakfast at a local restaurant in Valladolid, then head to Ek'Balam, a smaller Mayan site that doesn't get as crowded. You can climb up the Acropolis pyramid for views over the jungle. Later, bike over to Cenote X'Canché where you can swim or try ziplining, then explore Cenote Suytun with its unusual sunlit walkway cutting through stone. The evening brings authentic food and traditional entertainment back in Valladolid.

The real highlight comes next when you dive into cave cenotes—Cenote Choo-Ha has beautiful stalactites, while Cenote Yax-kin is a calm open lagoon. By evening, you're in Tulum grabbing tacos and feeling the energy of the town after dark.

Tulum to Bacalar
Leaving Tulum behind, you'll drive south down the coast and stop at Los Rápidos de Bacalar to feel the natural current and swim in the clear water, maybe floating or paddling a kayak around the ancient stromatolites. You'll arrive in Bacalar with time to check in and take an evening walk through town. Dinner happens at a restaurant with views of the Lagoon of Seven Colors under the stars.
