Itinerary
- Day 1
Melbourne to Grampians National Park
Meet your group in Melbourne at 8 am, then drive out to Grampians National Park. You'll stop for morning tea along the way before grabbing lunch in Halls Gap. This afternoon, walk to MacKenzie Falls to see the signature waterfall here, and then check out The Balconies rock formations. After settling into your accommodation, join the group for dinner.

- Day 2
Mt Zero to Roses Gap
Start early at Mt Zero Trailhead on the northern section of the Grampian Peaks Trail. You'll hike south along the ridgeline with views of Staplyton Amphitheatre and Taipan Wall, then move through forest and scrub down to Golton Creek. From there, head toward the Mt Difficult Range, passing Barigar mountain stream with its creeks and seasonal rockpools. The trail finishes through grassy woodlands to Roses Gap, and you'll get back to Halls Gap by evening.

- Day 3
Werdug to Botanic Gardens
Drive north and continue on the Peaks Trail starting from Werdug. Climb up to Lake Wartook Lookout, then trek through rocky gardens along the escarpment and descend into the wetter eastern slopes. You'll walk through forest with ferns, wattles, and tea trees before tackling Chautauqua Peak, the final ascent. Depending on recent rains, you might see Clematis Falls. The day ends at the Botanic Gardens, followed by a group dinner.

- Day 4
The Pinnacle
From Halls Gap, climb up and out of town. You'll pass Venus Baths, Elephant Hide, and the Grand Canyon lookout on your way to the summit of The Pinnacle. This popular viewpoint gives you great views over Halls Gap and the surrounding landscape, so bring your camera for the excellent sight lines.

- Day 5
Mount Rosea
Start from Rosea Campground and hike Mount Rosea using the main ascent, then return along the less-travelled Burma Track. From the summit, you get a 360-degree view across the rugged peaks and valleys with Lake Bellfield shimmering in the distance. On clear days, you might spot The Pinnacle and Mount William. Head back to accommodation for dinner, and you can celebrate your last night with a drink.

- Day 6
Grampians National Park to Melbourne
Say goodbye to Halls Gap and head back toward Melbourne. You'll visit the southern end of the Grampians for an end-to-end walk to a viewpoint over Mt Sturgeon summit, enjoying final views over the ranges. Drive to Dunkeld for lunch and a walk through town, then return to Melbourne, arriving in the late afternoon. Your trip ends here, though extending your stay is possible.
