Pella
Start by heading to the Pella archaeological site and museum to get into ancient Macedonian history. The museum does a solid job showing what life was like back then. After you're done there, drive to Edessa and settle into your accommodation for the night.

Edessa
This morning, check out the Ancient Edessa archaeological site, which gives you a sense of the area's long history. Later, head to the famous Edessa waterfall, which is worth the walk. Before evening, tour the Holy Trinity monastery. You'll stay another night in Edessa.

Mieza - Veria
Start the day at Mieza, the cultural center connected to Aristotle's School. From there, visit the Macedonian Tomb of Judgment archaeological site and see the ancient theatre. Then head to Veria and check out the museum and the Podium of Paul the Apostle. You'll stay in Veria for the night.

Aegae
Head to the Aegae archaeological site, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and walk through the Aegae museum to see the collections. There's plenty of ground to cover here. Stay another night in Veria.

Olympus - St Dionysios
Drive to the Olympus infocenter early in the day to get oriented. After that, tour St Dionysios monastery. Later, head to Litochoro and get settled into your accommodation there.

Dion

This morning, visit Platamon castle and walk around the area. Then make your way to the mountain town of Palaios Panteleimonas to get a feel for local life. Later, see the Larissa ancient theatre, which is on the UNESCO Tentative List. Check into Larissa for the night.

Karipidis - Pyli - Palaiokarya - Trikala
Start at Karipidis winery, where you can spend some time learning about local wine production. After that, cross the Pyli bridge and Palaiokarya bridge, which offer nice views of the landscape. Then tour Trikala castle. Head to Kalampaka for accommodation.

Metsovo - Ioannina
Start the day at a Metsovo winery to see how local production works. Then drive to Ioannina and explore the fortress, which has a lot of history packed into it. Tour the Silversmith museum to see the traditional crafts. You'll arrive at your final destination, Ioannina, and stay there.
