Itinerary
- Day 1
Athens
You'll arrive at Athens airport and take a private cab to your hotel in Piraeus. Your driver hands over ferry tickets for the island trips coming up, so you'll have those sorted before you even check in. Settle in and get ready for island hopping.

Piraeus to Serifos
The ferry takes you to Serifos, pulling into Livadi by morning. After checking in, you've got a circular walk waiting from Livadi that goes through Chora. If you want more of a challenge, there's a longer hike option that heads through Panagia instead.

Serifos
This hike starts in Panagia and winds through agricultural land, crosses a stream, and passes Galani village before reaching the deserted beach at Sykamia where you can swim. Coming back, you take different unpaved routes back to Panagia. If the 10th-century Byzantine church is open, stop by to see the frescoes from around 1300 AD.

Serifos
Take the bus from Livadi up to Chora and grab coffee in the town square. From there, hike on well-maintained paths toward Kallitsos (Kentarchos), a small settlement worth the walk. Continue to Galani and pass the fortress-like Taxiarchon monastery where a monk sometimes offers drinks. Visit the old Panagia church, then head back to Chora on a scenic route with sea views.

Serifos to Sifnos
Ferry or speedboat takes you to Sifnos. Depending when you arrive, do a circular walk from Apollonia. The shorter version follows an old mule track with great views between Apollonia and Kamares port, passing Agios Antypas church. For the longer option, loop through Artemonas and descend via Panagia Poulati church to Kastro, then return through green valley.

Sifnos
Hike through paved and dirt paths in the southeast, passing terraced fields to Vryssi monastery (now an art museum). Drop down to Apokofto beach and Chrysopigi church for Aegean views, then continue to Faros port and climb to Kastro, the old capital. Work your way back uphill to Apollonia. The Profitis Ilias monastery hike (657m peak) can happen today or tomorrow.

Sifnos
Public bus gets you to Platys Gialos where the hike begins. Climb through juniper slopes to Profitis Ilias Kondou chapel with panoramic views. Descend through beautiful terrain to Fykiada bay, tackle a steep climb through the interior to Megalogianni cave, then walk down to Vathy bay. Bus back to Artemonas wraps up the day.

Sifnos
Linear hike from Apollonia going southwest, gradually climbing past monasteries, churches, and olive groves. Stop at the quiet Panagia Toso Nero church for a rest. Reach the high point where visibility extends all the way to Mount Taygetos in the Peloponnese, then make a steep descent to Kamares port. Sifnos
Spend the day relaxing on the beach or taking a final circular hike on an old mule track that once connected Kamares and Apollonia. You'll get magnificent gorge views, pass an old nunnery and several churches, cross fields to the 420m pass above Kamares, then descend steeply back to port.

Sifnos to Piraeus
After breakfast, depart by speedboat or ferry headed to Piraeus or elsewhere. Sifnos has good ferry connections to Piraeus, Naxos, Santorini, and Amorgos (Katapola), with additional options during peak season.
