- Day 1
Pechão
You'll arrive at your hotel in Pechão and get settled in. There's a personal welcome waiting for you, plus a tour briefing to go over what's ahead. The staff will adjust your bikes to fit your preferences so everything's ready before you head out on the road.

Pechão - Olhão
Start with an easy ride from Quelfes toward Moncarapacho, passing through fruit and orange plantations along the way. You'll cycle into the Ria Formosa nature reserve where you'll see lagoons and salt fields. Tavira, known as the 'Venice of the Algarve', is on your route. After that, you'll pedal through villages like Santa Margarida and São Brás with some gentle climbing, finishing back at your hotel in Olhão by evening.

Olhão - Serra
Today takes you into the Serra hills via Estoi, Corotelo, and São Romão with ups and downs throughout the day. The main event is a steady 12 km climb on a newly paved, car-free road through cork oak, pine, carob, and eucalyptus forests that brings you to 500 m elevation with great views of the Serra. At the top, you can make a detour to Barranco do Velho where 'Tia Bia' serves meals, or grab a quick café break. The ride down winds through a valley with coastal views showing off in the distance before you return to the fertile plains and your hotel.

Landmarks Barranco do Velho - Day 4
Olhão - Serra de Calderão
You'll head east into the quiet Serra de Calderão hills starting from Estoi, riding up a winding road to São Brás de Alportel. From there, it's remote landscape with typical Algarve vegetation, including wind turbines and three hills that offer Serra and coastal views. There's a good water refill stop in Cachopo before you continue through remote terrain. After turning sharply toward Alcaria Cume, you'll descend to Porto Carvalhoso where coastal views are particularly nice, then wind back through small villages to your hotel.

Landmarks São Brás de Alportel Cachopo - Day 5
Porto Lagos - Lagos
A transfer gets you to Porto Lagos in the morning. From there, you'll cycle through rolling hills and rural areas with natural views around you. Climbing to Monchique mountain village gives you impressive vistas, and then a gentle 4 to 5 percent gradient takes you up to Foia with panoramic views of the Serra and coast. You'll pass through Monchique Natural Park toward Marmelete via pine forests and winding roads, then continue toward Aljezur and its historical sites. The N120 stretch toward Lagos is relatively flat with sea views showing up over the last few kilometers.

Landmarks Monchique Foia Monchique Natural Park Marmelete Aljezur - Day 6
Lagos - Sagres
Cycling along the rocky coast from Lagos, you'll pass Ponta da Piedade and the 'Costa d'Ouro' with its golden rocks and steep cliffs dropping toward the water. Continue to Praia da Luz, a quiet coastal village, then across steppe-like landscape to Raposeira, which is linked to Henry the Navigator and his chapel. Cabo de São Vicente is next, Europe's most south-westerly point where an impressive lighthouse stands above the sea. You'll finish the day in Sagres, home to the famous seafaring school.

Sagres - Hinterland
You'll check out and head toward the rural and historic hinterland villages. Starting on the N120 through hilly landscape with nice views, you'll visit Cotifo and Romeiras, both known for traditional architecture. The Bravura reservoir comes up next and makes a good break spot surrounded by nature. From there, cycle toward Marmelete at the foot of Serra de Monchique, then pedal back to your hotel through Casais and Figueira, passing through agricultural areas along the way.
