  1. Day 1

    Amphipolis

    Start by heading to the Amphipolis archaeological park where you'll walk through the site and check out the museum to get context on what you're seeing. The Lion of Amphipolis is the main attraction here, so you'll spend time with that sculpture. Later in the afternoon, drive over to Biblia Chora winery for a tour and tasting before heading to your accommodation in Kavala for the night.

    Kavala

    This day is all about Kavala itself. You'll explore the coastal town's streets and waterfront, visit the fortress that overlooks the harbor, and wander through the historical center to see the older architecture and local life. After settling in, you'll spend another night in Kavala.

  3. Day 3

    Philippi

    Travel to the Philippi archaeological site, a UNESCO World Heritage location with significant ancient ruins. You'll see the ancient theatre and tour the museum to understand the site's importance. From there, head to Chateau Nico Lazaridi winery for a tour and some wine tasting. Return to Kavala in the evening for another night.

    Thasos

    This is a full day of mixed activities on Thasos. Start with the Kefalogourna waterfall for some natural scenery, then tour the Archangel Michael monastery. After that, visit the marble quarry to see the stone that's been important to the island for centuries. The Aliki archaeological site and Sotirelis Olive Oil museum round out the day. You'll stay another night on the island.

    Leave Thasos and head inland to explore the Alistrati cave, which has interesting geological formations. From there, visit the Proti monastery dedicated to the Ascension of the Lord and the Amfipoli Virgin Mary Eikosiphoinissa monastery. Later you'll travel to Serres for your overnight stay.
