Itinerary
- Day 1
Negombo
You'll land in Negombo near the airport and have time to settle in before the welcome meeting at 5:30 pm. If you arrive early, walk around town to see the local fishing craft. Your leader can point you toward good dinner spots in the area.

Negombo to Anuradhapura
After breakfast at the hotel, you'll cycle from Negombo to Chilaw through fishing villages, past the Dutch canal, coconut plantations and tile factories. There's a picnic lunch in Chilaw, then you'll coach to Anuradhapura. Later in the evening, there's an optional food crawl if you want to check out local streets and markets.

Anuradhapura
Following breakfast, cycle to the UNESCO site of Anuradhapura for a guided bicycle tour. You'll see the sacred Bo Tree, the Isurumuniya Temple and the Anuradhapura Museum. Have a local lunch with your group, then head back to the hotel for a free afternoon and evening to relax.

Cycle from Anuradhapura to Ritigala through rice paddies, man-made water tanks and jungle. Stop for lunch at a countryside kiosk, then visit the Ritigala monastery from nearly 2000 years ago. Learn about local mythology before coaching to Polonnaruwa to rest and recharge.

Polonnaruwa to Dambulla
In the morning, cycle to Polonnaruwa and visit the Vihara Temple, Parakrama Statue and Siva Temple. Keep cycling to Diyabeduma through sanctuaries, man-made channels and farmlands. Picnic lunch refuels you before coaching to Dambulla. Later, visit the wholesale vegetable market with an optional food crawl.

Dambulla to Kandy
Head out early from Dambulla to cycle to Sigiriya, a UNESCO site with an ancient 200m rock fortress. See the water garden, boulder garden, mirror wall and frescos, then hike to the top for breakfast with panoramic views. Cycle through countryside to a spice garden near Matale for lunch, then drive to Kandy for a traditional dance performance.

- Day 7
Kandy
After breakfast, you can optionally cycle in the Hanthana Mountain Range if weather cooperates, or explore Kandy on your own. Visit a tea factory in Giragama for a tour and tasting. Lunch is at Hela Bojun Restaurant, a social enterprise supporting local women. See the Temple of Tooth Relic, then join a food crawl back in town.

Kandy to Maskeliya
After breakfast, head to Kandy railway station for a scenic train ride to Hatton. From there, cycle to Maskeliya through tea plantations to lunch at a local kiosk for an authentic Tamil meal. Check in at your guesthouse. There's an optional trek of Adam's Peak (2243m) if time allows, available late May through early December.

Bogawanthalawa to Tissamaharama
Following a hearty breakfast, cycle down from Bogawanthalawa to Balangoda on one of Sri Lanka's most beautiful road stretches. You'll follow tea plantations and pine forest with mountainous views and lush vegetation. Stop for lunch on the green slopes, then transfer to Tissamaharama for a group dinner.

Tissamaharama to Kataragama
Cycle through tree-lined roads from Tissamaharama to Kataragama, a colorful religious center that rivals Adam's Peak in importance. The Kataragama Festival draws thousands in July and August. After exploring, take a jeep through Yala National Park to spot elephants, crocodiles, waterbirds and leopards. Return for group dinner.

Tissamaharama to Mirissa
This is your final bike ride from Tissamaharama to Hambantota via Bundala National Park after breakfast. Lunch is in Hambantota before cycling to Mirissa. You'll have a free afternoon for beach time with clear waters for swimming and watching the sunset. Check out local lace products if interested in something authentic.

- Day 12
Mirissa to Galle
Take a free morning to relax in Mirissa. Later, drive to Galle to explore the World Heritage Dutch fort surrounded by ocean on three sides. Walk through maze-like gallery-filled streets showing European architecture mixed with South Asian traditions from over 400 years of history. Ancient mosques, churches, museums and boutiques fill the fort. Join a guided walk, watch sunset from the ramparts, then return.

Mirissa to Colombo
After breakfast, drive from Mirissa to Colombo and check into your hotel. Then head out on a leader-led walk past Petta Bazaar, Independence Square, Parliament and the National Museum. Finish at the Barefoot fairtrade store for handicrafts supporting small cottage industries. There's an optional group food crawl to celebrate with Sri Lanka's best street foods.
