    Kolkata

    Your driver meets you at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport and takes you to the hotel. Later in the evening, you can walk along the Hooghly River, check out the lit-up Prinsep Ghat, or grab a meal at one of the heritage cafés in the area.

    Kolkata to Darjeeling

    After breakfast, you'll catch a flight to Bagdogra and then drive up to Darjeeling in the Eastern Himalayas. As the road climbs higher, tea gardens and pine forests surround you, with misty ridges appearing through the clouds. You'll reach your hilltop hotel in this old colonial town by late afternoon.

    Darjeeling

    The day starts before sunrise at Tiger Hill (8,400 feet) so you can watch the sun light up Mt. Kanchenjunga's snow-covered peaks, and on clear mornings, Mt. Everest comes into view. Later, you'll walk through Ghoom Monastery to see the 15-foot Maitreya Buddha statue, tour the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway Museum, take a ride on the toy train, wander the tea gardens at Happy Valley Tea Estate, and stroll along Chowrasta Mall Road with mountain views all around.

    Darjeeling to Gangtok

    After breakfast, you'll drive to Gangtok, Sikkim's capital, passing river valleys, prayer flags, and small hill villages. Once you check into your hotel, the evening is free for you to walk around MG Marg, a pedestrian boulevard lined with cafés, boutiques, and local food spots.

    Gangtok

    You'll start at Tashi Viewpoint to see the Eastern Himalayan peaks, then head to Rumtek Monastery with its golden stupa and detailed murals. The ropeway cable car gives you sweeping views of valleys and peaks, after which you can see the thangkas and Buddhist artifacts at the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology. Before wrapping up, there's the peaceful Enchey Monastery to visit, plus time to browse the markets or relax at a café.

    Gangtok to Pelling

    After breakfast, you'll drive to Pelling with Mt. Kanchenjunga views the whole way. You'll see the spiritual Pemayangtse Monastery, known for its detailed wooden celestial palace model inside. From there, you can check out the moss-covered Rabdentse Ruins, which was once Sikkim's royal capital, then settle into your hotel to watch the mountain sunset.

    Leaving Pelling, you head down to Kalimpong, a town that blends monasteries, gardens, and colonial buildings. Start at Durpin Monastery for Teesta River views, then walk through Pine View Nursery to see orchids and cacti. You'll browse the busy local market for Tibetan handicrafts and sweets, and finish at Dr. Graham's Homes, a historic 1900 school with old stone cottages.

    The tour I took Wes personalized for me and included staying in a houseboat in Srinagar, and visiting gardens. Gulmarg was amazing taking the gondola to first phase and able to do snow activities. Pahalgam was also nice. My favorite was staying in Leh for three days. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 95 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
