Saint-Émilion
This morning you'll explore what's available on board. Around lunchtime the ship arrives in Libourne, a historic port town that's central to the wine trade here. Later in the afternoon you'll head to Saint-Émilion, a medieval village with old architecture, well-kept monuments, and an underground church that's recognized as a World Heritage site.

Libourne
The morning gives you choices for exploring the Libournais region on the Right Bank. You can do a wine tasting at a local château, take a walking tour through Libourne's historic center, visit a sturgeon farm to try caviar, or check out a 19th-century flour mill that still operates traditionally. The ship departs for Blaye later that evening.

Fort Médoc
You'll wake up in Blaye, a small hamlet built as a fortification with a World Heritage citadel full of narrow cobblestone streets and wine bars. Choose between a casual walking tour or a more active two-hour walk through the citadel learning about Vauban's defense system and visiting Château Marquis de Vauban. That evening you'll cruise to Fort Médoc for an exclusive experience at Château d'Agassac with champagne and a private classical concert.

Bourg
Fort Médoc sits on the left bank of the Gironde River in the heart of the Médoc wine region. This morning pick between a scenic drive along Route des Châteaux with wine tasting at a major estate, or explore the countryside by e-bike with wine samples. After lunch back on the ship, you'll cruise toward Bourg, an old commune with vineyards dating to Roman times. Choose a walking tour with the Carriages Museum, a 30-kilometer cycling tour, or a vineyard tasting tour along the estuary.

After the night in Bordeaux, the ship heads south this morning to Cadillac, a small appellation famous for sweet white wines and home to 13th-century fortified buildings. You'll have your pick of a Sauternes wine tour by car or bike that includes tasting at a local estate and learning about winemaking, or a walking tour through Cadillac's fortified town with 16th-century architecture. You'll return to Bordeaux by evening.

You'll spend the day in Bordeaux, France's sixth largest city with museums, historic sites, and wine bars throughout. Options include a guided coach and walking tour of the city's highlights, shopping at a local market with a Scenic chef and then a cooking demo, a three-hour cycling tour crossing bridges and historic buildings, or visiting the interactive Cité du Vin Museum. Back on board this afternoon you'll have a wine and chocolate pairing.
