- Day 1
Auckland
You'll land in Auckland and have the freedom to wander around the city on your own schedule. This afternoon or evening works well for grabbing lunch somewhere central and getting a feel for the place. Your Travel Director and the rest of the group meet up later for a welcome drink, so you'll connect with everyone then.

- Day 2
Auckland to Bay of Islands
Head north from Auckland toward the Bay of Islands, where you'll find over 140 subtropical islets and clean beaches spread across the water. Once you arrive, a local specialist walks through the Treaty Grounds with you to explain the Treaty of Waitangi signed back in 1840 and its significance. You'll also see the world's largest ceremonial war canoe and check out a carved meeting house that shows traditional Maori craftsmanship.

- Day 3
Bay of Islands
This day is yours to structure. You can take an optional cruise through the bay where New Zealand wine gets served, or if you prefer something different, a mini tour around Russell takes you through New Zealand's first permanent European settlement and its colonial history. Either way, stick around for the evening since the sunsets here are really something special to catch from wherever you end up.
