- Day 1
Cudillero
You'll arrive in Asturias and pick up your rental car at the airport, then drive to Cudillero, a fishing village with narrow winding streets and colorful houses. The afternoon is yours to wander around, check out the local seafood restaurants, and get a feel for the place. Before evening, head up to Mirador de la Garita where you can watch the sun set over the harbor and the fishing boats below.

Asturian Coast
This morning you'll explore Oviedo's historic center, walking through its Gothic architecture and stopping by the traditional markets to see what locals are selling. After that, you're driving to the Asturian coast to see the beaches and dramatic cliffs. The Cathedral of San Salvador and Santa María del Naranco are on your route, so you'll stop at both. Later in the day, wind down at Playa del Silencio where the light is great for photos and it's quiet enough to just sit and think.

Terras do Miño
You're heading west into Galicia and arriving in Ribadeo, a coastal town with strong ties to the sea. Playa de las Catedrales is your main stop here with its sea-carved rock formations and caves, but you'll need to check tide times and book your entry slot beforehand. Later you can drive inland to Terras do Miño Biosphere Reserve where there are walking trails through old forests and wetlands if you want to slow down and walk around for a bit.

Santander
You're traveling to Cantabria and spending time in Santillana del Mar, a medieval village with cobblestone streets and stone buildings everywhere. The Altamira Museum is next with its replica prehistoric cave paintings, and you should grab tickets in advance since spots fill up. After that, head to Santander to see the Palacio de la Magdalena overlooking the water and walk along El Sardinero Beach with its nice sand and promenade lined with older buildings and cafés.

Today you're going into Picos de Europa National Park to see the mountain scenery Spain is known for in this region. You can do Covadonga Lakes surrounded by peaks and glacial valleys, or take the Fuente Dé cable car that gets you high up in less than four minutes with views and hiking trails from there. Either way, you'll pass through Cangas de Onís, a small town with a medieval Roman bridge that's worth a quick stop.

If you've got time before heading to the airport, you can stroll San Lorenzo Beach or walk through the botanical gardens.
