- Day 1
Keflavik to Selfoss
You'll land at Keflavik Airport and pick up your rental car to start driving toward Selfoss. The route takes you through some of Iceland's most dramatic terrain, so watch for volcanoes, geysers, waterfalls, and glaciers as you make your way south. By evening you'll reach Selfoss and settle into your accommodation for the night.

South Coast Exploration
Spend the day driving along Iceland's South Coast in your rental car. First up is Seljalandsfoss waterfall where you can walk right behind the cascading waters, then head to Skogafoss where rainbows often form in the spray. After that, check out the mysterious Sólheimasandur plane wreck, and later drive to Dyrholaey cliffs and Reynisfjara beach with its distinctive black sand and basalt columns.

Golden Circle
Drive the famous Golden Circle route today. Start at Kerid crater with its striking blue lake and red lava walls, then continue to Gullfoss waterfall. Next, head to the Haukadalur geothermal area to see Strokkur, Stóri, and Great Geysers shooting hot water high into the air. Spend time at Thingvellir National Park standing between tectonic plates and seeing Öxarárfoss waterfall. If you have extra time, you can make a detour to Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls.

Snaefellsnes Peninsula
Head to Snæfellsnes Peninsula for a day filled with cliffs, volcanic craters, waterfalls, and wildlife. Start at Ytri-Tunga beach to watch seals in their habitat, then visit Bjarnarfoss waterfall dropping 80 meters into deep valleys. Check out the iconic Black Church (Búðakirkja) and explore the stone bridge at Raudfeldsgja. Walk on the black pebble beach at Djúpalónssandur where shipwreck remains are visible, climb Saxholl crater for panoramic views of Snæfellsjökull glacier, and finish at Kirkjufell mountain with Kirkjufellsfoss waterfall nearby.

Reykjavik
Relax at Sky Lagoon soaking in emerald-green hot water with North Atlantic Ocean views. Later, explore Reykjavik's highlights including the observation deck at Hallgrímskirkja Church for city panoramas, the modern Harpa Concert Hall by the harbor, and Perlan museum where you can walk through an ice cave and check out a Northern Lights planetarium show (you'll pay admission at the site).
