    Naples

    You'll arrive in Naples and pick up your rental car. If you have time before evening, head to the historic center to check out Castel dell'Ovo for sea views or grab some authentic Neapolitan pizza. Later, take it easy and get ready for the week ahead.

    Mount Vesuvius - Castellammare di Stabia

    Start your day at Pompeii's archaeological site where you'll walk through perfectly preserved homes, temples, and frescoes. After that, head to Cantina Del Vesuvio Winery to taste local volcanic wine. If you're up for it, hike Mount Vesuvius for views over the Bay of Naples. Later, relax at Castellammare di Stabia's thermal springs or take a stroll along the coastal promenade.

  3. Day 3

    Capri

    Ferry over to Capri and spend your day exploring the island. Visit the Blue Grotto where sunlight creates an underwater glow. Climb the ancient Phoenician Steps for sea views, then take the cable car up Monte Solaro for panoramic island views. End the afternoon wandering through Villa San Michele's gardens.

    Travel along the Amalfi Coast checking out its highlights. Wander through Positano's pastel-colored streets and boutique shops. Then head to Amalfi town to see its historic cathedral and narrow streets. Drive by Fiordo di Furore with its dramatic fjord, and if you want, jump in for a swim. Cap off the day with wine tasting at a winery overlooking the sea.

    Avellino - Montemiletto

    Head into the Avellino region's wine country and historic sites. Visit Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi and the serene 12th-century Abbazia del Goleto monastery. Stop at Tenuta Cavalier Pepe winery to taste wines paired with local cheese and salami. Later, check out Avellino's winemaking heritage at Feudi di San Gregorio winery where you can stroll through the vineyards. Finish in Montemiletto exploring the castle and grabbing dinner at a traditional trattoria.
