Rio de Janeiro
You'll arrive in Rio de Janeiro and check into your hotel. Spend the rest of the day however you like - whether that's taking it easy after traveling or wandering around to get a feel for the city.
- Day 2
Rio de Janeiro
Morning is free for you to explore at your own pace. In the afternoon, you'll drive along the coast past Ipanema and Copacabana beaches, heading toward Sugarloaf Mountain. From there, a cable car takes you to the top for views across the city. Later, you'll have caipirinhas at a private cocktail party with Guanabara Bay as your backdrop.

Rio de Janeiro
Take a scenic cog railway up Corcovado Mountain to see Christ the Redeemer towering above the city. Then you'll head into downtown Rio to walk through a mix of modern buildings and old Portuguese colonial structures, including the Sambodromo and Cathedral. The afternoon is yours to do what you want. That evening, head to a traditional churrascaria for barbecued meats.

Rio de Janeiro
Today's all about doing whatever you want in Rio. Head down to one of the beaches and spend a few hours relaxing by the water, or if shopping sounds better, the city's got plenty of options spread throughout different neighborhoods. For dinner, you can find good restaurants all over the place if fine dining appeals to you. If you'd rather get out of the city, there's a chance to arrange a side trip to Petropolis, which sits up in the mountains and used to be where Emperor Dom Pedro II had his summer retreat. The whole day is flexible, so it really depends on what sounds good to you.

Rio de Janeiro to Iguassu Falls
Fly from Rio to Iguassu Falls. Once you arrive, enter Brazil's Iguassu National Park on the Brazilian side with a local guide. You'll walk along pathways near the falls and look for wildlife like toucans, giant otters, and jaguars.

Rio de Janeiro to Iguassu Falls
You'll take a motorcoach from Brazil into Argentina to see Iguassu Falls from the other side. Once you're there, walk out on catwalks that hang right over the falls, getting views from above and also from right at the top of Devil's Throat where the water drops more than 300 feet straight down. Later, head down into the rainforest on the lower trails where you can get close to the smaller waterfalls. After all that walking around, you'll head back to the hotel where the rest of the afternoon and evening are yours to do as you please.

Iguassu Falls to Buenos Aires
Travel by motorcoach across the border into Argentina, then head to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires. When you land, you'll start exploring this elegant city known for its wide boulevards, outdoor cafes, and European feel.

- Day 8
Buenos Aires
Start in La Boca, the historic port district, then walk through San Telmo with its colonial buildings and art scene. You'll see La Casa Rosada and the Cathedral at Plaza de Mayo, plus the ornate Teatro Colón opera house. Visit Recoleta Cemetery where Eva Perón is buried. Later, take a hands-on cooking class to learn how to make empanadas. Tonight includes a tango lesson at a local milonga, then a farewell dinner with Argentine steaks and a professional tango performance.

Buenos Aires (Estancia)
Head into the pampas to a working Argentine ranch. You'll get a traditional welcome with empanadas and local drinks, then take a carriage ride to see gaucho life. Lunch features Argentine beef with salad and dessert while gauchos perform music and dance. Before heading back to the city, watch an equestrian demonstration.

This morning you'll fly across the Andes to get to Santiago, Chile's main city. When you land, someone from Globus will be there to meet you at the airport. Tonight there's dinner waiting for you at the hotel, so you can settle in and get some food after traveling.

Santiago
A local guide takes you through Santiago's history from the 16th century onward. You'll start at La Moneda, the government palace, then explore Plaza de Armas with its beautiful 18th-century cathedral featuring Baroque details, frescoes, chandeliers, and gold. Afternoon and evening are free to do what you like.

Santiago to Easter Island
From Santiago, you're flying out to Easter Island, which sits about 2,200 miles off the coast of Chile in the middle of the Pacific. The island itself is basically one huge open-air museum with over 400 moai statues scattered across it, plus ancient ruins and temples from the original people who lived there. A guide will show you around based on the detailed day-by-day plan that's in your travel documents.

Easter Island
Your private tour begins at Ahu Vaihu with eight large moai in ruins. You'll continue to Ahu Akahanga, a legendary burial site, then to Rano Raraku quarry where 394 moai sit in various stages of completion, showing how they were carved from volcanic rock before work mysteriously stopped. Later you'll see Ahu Tongariki with 15 restored moai, Ahu Te Pito Kura with the largest transported moai, and finish at Anakena Beach where the first king landed.

Start at Rano Kau Volcano in the morning with its caldera and freshwater lake. Explore the ceremonial village of Orongo with restored houses and ancient ahu, and learn about the Birdman Competition legend. Visit Ana Kai Tagata, an ancient cave with wall paintings, then see Ahu Akivi inland with seven restored moai. End at Puna Pau quarry where the red scoria stone topknots were carved for the moai.
