Itinerary
- Day 1
Antigua
You'll arrive in Antigua by 3pm and get your included transfer to your accommodation. After you settle in and meet your CEO, the afternoon shifts into Guatemalan culture with a hands-on cooking class at a local culinary school. You'll learn to prepare traditional Mayan dishes like Pepián and Kak'ik, then sit down together for dinner.

- Day 2
Antigua
Your CEO leads a walking tour through Antigua's colonial streets, hitting the Central Park, Cathedral, and Santa Catalina Arch with Agua Volcano as your backdrop. Later you'll head to Chokojol Juyu community center to learn about textile traditions and cook traditional Pepián alongside local youth. Lunch follows, and then you visit a macadamia farm.

- Day 3
Lake Atitlán
From Panajachel you board a boat across Lake Atitlán toward Santa Cruz village, with volcano views throughout the crossing. You'll participate in a Mayan tree planting ceremony and enjoy a traditional Mayan lunch. Time at local markets comes next, then you take another boat to San Marcos with more lake and volcano scenery. Keep an eye out for a G twist surprise.

- Day 4
San Marcos to Flores
Start with a leisurely breakfast overlooking Lake Atitlán, then walk near the water to take in the sights and sounds of Panajachel. In the afternoon you fly north to Flores, an island town in Lake Petén Itzá surrounded by jungle. After settling in, you can choose to have an authentic Guatemalan dinner with your group this evening or do your own thing.

Landmarks/POIs Lake Petén Itzá Flores - Day 5
Flores
A guided tour takes you deep into the jungle to Tikal, a UNESCO World Heritage archaeological site with temples, plazas, and carved stone monuments from as far back as 600 BC. You'll climb to the top of Temple IV for sweeping views, then return to Flores where you have free time to relax, journal, walk along the water, or grab a cold drink.

Flores to Río Dulce
You drive from Flores to Río Dulce, a riverside town known for rainforest landscape, cliffs, and wildlife. After lunch on your own, you head to Finca Paraíso where hot and cold water sources meet and create a warm waterfall for swimming and floating under the jungle canopy. Evening brings you back to Río Dulce with free time and dinner at your leisure.

Río Dulce
This day is yours to choose. Either take a scenic boat ride to the Caribbean town of Livingston to visit El Manglar, a G Adventures-supported women-led community initiative, and enjoy a sit-down lunch with local food, or join your CEO at a nearby beach for relaxation and swimming. Dinner in the evening is up to you.

Río Dulce to Antigua
After breakfast in Río Dulce, you travel back to Antigua with a lunch stop along the way on your own. Once you arrive, your CEO leads an orientation walk through downtown Antigua, and then you're free to arrange dinner however you'd like. Consider gathering with your group for a final evening celebrating your journey through Guatemala.

Departure
