Itinerary
- Day 1
Uluru
You'll arrive at Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park in the afternoon and head straight to the Cultural Centre to look through galleries and watch Aboriginal artists creating their work. After that, a local guide takes you to Uluru's base where you'll hear about Tjukurpa creation stories tied to the land. From there you'll walk to Mutitjulu Waterhole to see ancient rock art and learn about sacred sites in the area. The day wraps up at the Uluru Sunset Viewing Area where you'll have sparkling wine while watching the famous sunset change colors across the rock (75°F/24°C).

Kata Tjuta
This morning you're heading to Kata Tjuta to take in views from the dune viewing platform overlooking the landscape. Then you'll walk the 1.3km Walpa Gorge trail, which takes you through natural creek beds between two of the tallest domes in the formation. Back at Ayers Rock Resort by afternoon, you'll have free time to rest and relax. There are optional experiences available if you want to do something extra, but those are at your own cost.

Kings Canyon
You can opt for a Sunrise Field of Light tour if you want (own expense), otherwise you'll have a relaxed morning. Later you'll drive through desert scenery past Curtin Springs Station and see Atila (Mt. Conner) along the way, and keep an eye out for wild horses and camels roaming the area. By evening you're at Kings Canyon Resort with time to settle in before dinner. After eating, you'll experience the Light Towers created by artist Bruce Munro, which is quite a sight at night (68°F/20°C).

Kings Canyon to Alice Springs
You'll wake early to climb up the rocky path to the canyon rim for sunrise views of Watarrka National Park. The full rim walk follows lookout points and takes around 3 hours total, so be ready for rocky and steep terrain. If that sounds like too much, there's an easier shorter walk down to the canyon floor instead. Afterward you board the coach to Alice Springs, and the route includes a stop at Erldunda Roadhouse along the Stuart Highway for a break (72°F/22°C).
