Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Cairo
Your representative meets you at Cairo airport and takes care of the paperwork before driving you to your hotel. After you settle in and check your room, the rest of the day is yours to rest up before your tour begins.

- Day 2
Pyramids of Giza, Egyptian Museum, Khan el-Khalili
This morning you'll head out to see the Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx. Lunch is included at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, you'll walk through the Grand Egyptian Museum, then spend time shopping at Khan el-Khalili bazaar. Later in the evening, your driver takes you to the train station for your journey south to Aswan (flight or sleeping train upgrades are available if preferred).

- Day 3
Philae Temple, Aswan High Dam, Unfinished Obelisk
You'll arrive in Aswan and board your 5-star Nile cruise ship. After checking in and having some time to settle, your guide takes you to Philae Temple on Agilika Island, then to the Aswan High Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk in the quarries. That evening you'll stay aboard the ship.

- Day 4
Aswan to Kom Ombo and Edfo
Early this morning there's an optional trip to Abu Simbel temples (additional cost). In the afternoon the ship sails toward Kom Ombo with stops to visit Kom Ombo Temple and the Mummified Crocodile Museum. You'll continue sailing to Edfo and overnight on the cruise ship.

Edfo Temple, Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple
The ship reaches Edfo early, and after breakfast your guide takes you by horse carriage to visit Edfo Temple (Temple of Horus). Later the cruise continues to Luxor, arriving in the afternoon. You'll then see Karnak Temple Complex and Luxor Temple on the East Bank before returning to your ship for the night.

- Day 6
Valley of the Kings, Temple of Hatshepsut, Colossi of Memnon, Return to Cairo
An optional hot air balloon ride over the West Bank is available early this morning (additional cost). Otherwise around 8:00 am you'll begin touring the West Bank, visiting the Valley of the Kings with its 63 royal tombs, the mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon statues. After these visits, you'll check out from the ship and head to the train station for your journey back to Cairo (sleeping train or flight upgrade options available).

- Day 7
Madaba, Mount Nebo
You'll arrive in Cairo from your train ride, and your representative transfers you to the airport for your included flight to Jordan. Once you land in Amman, you'll visit Madaba to see its 6th-century Byzantine mosaics and the Mosaic Map of Jerusalem in St. George's Church. Then it's on to Mount Nebo, where you can see the site as the church is currently closed for renovation.

Petra
Today you'll explore Petra, the ancient Nabatean city and UNESCO World Heritage Site. You'll walk through the spectacular 1 km-long Siq gorge with its 80-meter cliffs, then discover hundreds of rock-cut tombs, the famous Treasury, Roman theatres, temples, and colonnaded streets with their colorful rock formations. After your time there, you'll return to your hotel.

- Day 9
Jerash and Amman
After breakfast, you'll see the ancient Roman city of Jerash with its paved colonnaded streets, temples on hillsides, theatres, and city walls. Then you'll spend about 2 hours exploring downtown Amman's museums including the Archeological Museum, Folklore Museum, and the Citadel, all showing the city's long history.
