Itinerary
- Day 1
Hobart
You'll arrive in Hobart and get settled at your hotel. If you land early enough, there's time to wander around the main streets near the harbour, checking out the shops, cafes, and restaurants. At 6 pm you'll head to a welcome meeting at the hotel to meet your group and local leader. After that, you'll head out for dinner at a local restaurant to kick things off.

Mt Field National Park
Head to Mt Field National Park and tackle the Three Falls Circuit walk. You'll see Russell Falls along the way with plenty of spots for photos, and the trail takes you through lush rainforest with cascading waterfalls. Be prepared for some short steep sections and steps. Later on, the evening is yours to relax and chat with the other travellers.

Tarn Shelf
Today brings the Tarn Shelf Walk, Mt Field's main hiking route. The drive up is steep to Lake Dobson where the trail starts. You'll climb to Tarn Shelf, which rewards you with views of glacier-formed landscapes and mountain tarns. Your group will have lunch together up there with those views as your backdrop. Then you'll head back down through woodland to Lake Dobson, taking in the trees, shrubbery, peaks and reflective water on the way.

Landmarks/POIs Lake Dobson Tarn Shelf - Day 4
Hartz Mountains National Park
You're heading to Hartz Mountains National Park, which sits on the eastern edge of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. It's one of the more accessible alpine areas in Tasmania. The trail climbs gradually through scrubby bushland and opens up to views of the D'Entrecasteaux Channel and the peaks around it. If you're up for something tougher, there's a steep climb to Hartz Peak that gives you views in all directions.

Cape Queen Elizabeth
You'll take a short ferry to Bruny Island in the morning. Once there, walk the Cape Queen Elizabeth track with its white sand beaches and headlands. The coastal views along this walk give you a good sense of the island's landscape. After you finish, you'll drive to your accommodation on the island for the night.

Landmarks/POIs Bruny Island Cape Queen Elizabeth - Day 6
Adventure Bay to Hobart
On Bruny Island, you'll explore the Fluted Capes track at Adventure Bay, which has dramatic coastal scenery. The walk has some steep sections but the views make the effort worthwhile. After finishing, you'll head back to the mainland and return to Hobart, getting there in time for evening flights. If you'd rather stay longer, contact your booking agent before the trip to arrange an extra night in Hobart.
