Itinerary
- Day 1
Colombo to Anuradhapura
You'll arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo where your tour leader meets you for the transfer to your hotel. After breakfast, head out to Anuradhapura to see the ancient ruins there. The site has thousand-year-old dagobas and temples scattered across it, including Shri Maha Bodhi Temple, Isurumuniya Temple, Ruwenwelisaya Dagoba, and Jethawanaramaya Sthupa. From there, you'll travel to Habarana for the night.

- Day 2
Habarana - Sigiriya - Polonnaruwa
After breakfast at your hotel, you'll head to Sigiriya to explore the Rock Fortress, an 8th wonder of the world. The site features ancient frescoes of maidens and you can wander through the surrounding wilderness and ruins. Later, continue to Polonnaruwa where you'll discover archaeological treasures from when kings ruled this area about 800 years ago. Check out the vatadageya and royal palace while there. You'll return to Habarana for overnight.

Habarana to Kandy
You'll start with breakfast and then travel to Kandy, stopping along the way at the Matale Spice Garden to explore exotic spices and learn about their historical significance. Once in Kandy, visit the Tooth Relic Temple (Sri Dalada Maligawa) and other temples including Vishnu Dewalaya, Bahirawakanda Temple, and Degaldoruwa Temple. Take time to walk through the Kandy View Point and browse the antique shops and markets there before checking into your hotel.

- Day 4
Kandy - Pinnawala - Peradeniya
Breakfast comes first, then you'll travel to the Elephant Orphanage near Pinnawala, about 13 km northwest of Kegalle toward Kandy. This gives you time with the elephants there. After that, head to Peradeniya to see the Botanical Gardens, which combines medieval history with colonial heritage and has a river running through it. You'll finish the day back at your Kandy hotel.

Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
Following breakfast, you'll travel toward Nuwara Eliya and stop to see Ramboda Falls along the way, where you can watch multiple mini falls cascading in layers with butterflies flying around. You'll also visit the Hanuman Temple with its 16-foot-high statue. Later, check out a tea plantation and factory to learn how Ceylon Tea is made and why it tastes distinctive. In Nuwara Eliya, explore Hakgala Gardens and the sacred Seetha Temple before settling in for the night.

- Day 6
Nuwara Eliya to Bentota - Hikkaduwa
You'll have breakfast and then travel to Hikkaduwa with lunch handled on your own. Once there, you'll have leisure time at the beach in the evening. After that, visit the Bentota Madu River, which is the country's second-largest wetland with a rich ecosystem, two main islands, and around 30 islets. Return to Hikkaduwa for dinner and more beach time before your overnight stay.

Hikkaduwa to Bentota to Colombo
Breakfast is first, then you'll travel to Bentota to explore the Madu River wetland ecosystem. You'll visit a turtle hatchery to see conservation work happening there. This gives you some beach leisure time before heading to Colombo. You'll arrange your own lunch and dinner, then check in at your Colombo hotel for the night.

Colombo to Airport
You'll start with breakfast at your hotel, then take a city tour of Colombo. During the tour, you'll see Galle Face Green, Viharamahadevi Park, the National Museum, Twin World Trade Center towers, the Old Parliament Building, the Fort district, and Independence Hall at Independence Square. After the tour finishes, you'll transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport for your return flight. If needed, drop-off options to other Colombo or Negombo hotels can be arranged.
