Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Marrakech

You'll land in Marrakech and pick up your rental car right away. Head into the medina where the energy hits you immediately - mopeds weaving through narrow streets, traders calling out, and the smell of street food everywhere. Make your way to Djemaa el-Fna bazaar to catch the drummers and fire breathers doing their thing. Later, find a rooftop spot, order mint tea, and watch the square buzzing below you as things wind down for the evening.

    Marrakech

Spend your morning getting lost (intentionally) in the souk maze - you'll find jewelry stalls, intricate lamps, and piles of spices. Take a break in a quiet courtyard to recover with mint tea. After that, head to Jardin Majorelle to see the famous blue buildings set against cactus gardens and tropical plants. Later in the day you can either check out Maison de la Photographie or grab a spot at a rooftop café to catch the golden hour light over the city.

Find small concept stores selling handmade crafts and local art. If you want, book a hammam treatment or try harira soup sitting in a park. By evening, return to Djemaa el-Fna square to see it one more time before you leave.

Our trip trough South Africa and Namibia with Journaway was transformative—an unforgettable adventure that rekindled our love for exploration. Embarking on a self-drive safari in a fully equipped 4×4 with rooftop tent, we journeyed from the vibrant streets of Cape Town through the otherworldly Namib Desert to the heart-pounding encounters in Etosha National Park.   Each stop was a sensory wonder: sun-drenched beaches, dramatic star-lit nights, encounters with penguins at Boulders Beach, and the staggering beauty of Fish River Canyon. The flexibility of setting our own pace, paired with Journaway’s considerate organization, turned what could have been logistics-heavy into effortless magic.   What truly stood out, however, was Journaway’s unwavering support. Whether it was adjusting accommodations or offering 24/7 assistance, their attentiveness ensured nothing disrupted our immersion in nature’s grandeur. In short: if you crave freedom, nature, and seamless adventure, this trip is a dream—and Journaway is the dream-weaver.
