Funafuti
You'll arrive at Funafuti International Airport and head to your accommodation. After you check in, take a short walk along the lagoon to get your bearings. In the evening, your host will welcome you with a traditional Tuvaluan dinner, so you'll get a real taste of local food right away.

Funafuti
A guided tour takes you through Funafuti's main spots including the local market, National Library, and the historic WWII airfield site built by U.S. forces. You'll stop at Teone Church, then grab lunch at a family-run restaurant. The afternoon is free, so you can either relax or try snorkeling in the lagoon if you're in the mood.

Early morning boat trip across the Funafuti lagoon brings you to Funafala islet, a quiet place with just a handful of residents. You'll swim in the turquoise water, have a picnic lunch on the beach, and learn how locals practice sustainable fishing and live on an atoll. The boat returns to Funafuti by sunset.

You'll visit a local community to get into Tuvaluan culture and crafts firsthand. Join a mat-weaving demonstration, try learning some traditional dance moves, and pick up basic Tuvaluan phrases. Later in the evening, there's a cultural show or fatele (drum-led group dancing) if it's scheduled that night.

Funafuti
Head out to the Funafuti Conservation Area, a protected marine reserve full of reef fish and coral. You can go snorkeling, do some birdwatching, or take a boat ride through the atoll's waters. Light lunch gets served either on board or on a beach depending on how the day plays out.
