Itinerary
- Day 1
Tokyo to Nikko
You'll drive from Tokyo to Nikko and arrive in time for lunch in the town center, where you can wander around at your own pace. After that, head to Shinkyo Bridge to see the elegant red arched structure. From there, you'll check out Rinno-ji Temple's Sanbutsudo Hall, which has three large golden Buddhist statues inside. Next comes Nikko Toshogu Shrine, the UNESCO site dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu, where you can walk through the ornate gates and structures. Before the day ends, stop at Futarasan Shrine for a quieter moment. By evening, you'll settle into your hot spring hotel in Kinugawa and relax in the thermal waters.

- Day 2
Nikko to Tokyo
Start your morning at Edo Wonderland, a theme park where you'll see samurai and ninja performers acting out Edo-period scenes amid historical architecture. You can grab lunch somewhere in the park. In the afternoon, head to the Oya History Museum, which is built inside an old underground quarry with massive stone chambers that feel cathedral-like. Later in the day, you'll make the drive back to Tokyo, arriving in the evening.
