Johannesburg
You'll land at O.R. Tambo International Airport and get a transfer to your hotel in Johannesburg. After you arrive, the day is completely yours to rest and get comfortable after traveling.

Johannesburg to Mpumalanga
Start your morning at the Apartheid Museum learning about South Africa's history and the country's path to freedom. Then you'll head out to Mpumalanga province toward the Drakensberg Mountains, which sits at the edge of Kruger National Park. The rest of your day is free to do as you like.

Panorama Route
You'll explore the Panorama Route around Graskop this morning, starting with the Graskop Gorge Lift to see the forest canopy from above. After that, you check out Blyde River Canyon, God's Window viewpoint, and Bourke's Luck Potholes. You'll see the Three Rondavels before checking into your private game lodge, then head out on an evening safari to spot wildlife as the sun sets.

Your first full safari day in Greater Kruger National Park starts before dawn when you head out in open 4x4 vehicles looking for the Big Five and other animals. You'll do the same again in the late afternoon. Between those drives, you have time to relax at the lodge.

Greater Kruger National Park
Continue exploring Greater Kruger National Park with your expert guides leading game drives and walking safaris. You'll move through the wilderness on foot and by vehicle, searching for the Big Five while learning how the ecosystem works and what makes this region so rich with wildlife.

Kruger National Park to Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth)
You'll be transferred from Greater Kruger National Park back to Johannesburg, then fly to Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth). Once you arrive, a transfer takes you to your hotel where dinner is waiting for you.

Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) to Knysna
Leaving Gqeberha, you'll stop at Oudebosch Protea Farm to learn about South Africa's national flower. Then you head to Tsitsikamma National Park to walk through wild coastline and forests, crossing the suspension bridge over Storms River Mouth. By evening you'll reach Knysna, a charming town known as the jewel of the Garden Route, sitting between two heads on a beautiful lagoon.

Knysna to Oudtshoorn
Your morning starts with a boat cruise across Knysna's lagoon for the Featherbed Eco Experience. A tractor ride takes you to the top of the western head for panoramic views, then you walk through coastal forests learning about local plants and animals. After lunch in nature, you travel to Oudtshoorn with the rest of the day at your own pace.

You'll spend time exploring Oudtshoorn, known for its ostriches. Head into the Cango Caves to walk through underground chambers, then visit an ostrich farm for a tractor tour to meet the birds and try ostrich for lunch. After that, you travel to Cape Town, passing through beautiful scenery along the way.

Orientation and Table Mountain
Start with an orientation tour of Cape Town covering the city's history and culture. You'll drive past the Castle of Good Hope, Company Gardens, and the Houses of Parliament. Lunch at Bo-Kaap Kombuis includes a cooking demonstration and authentic Cape Malay food. Later, you'll take the cableway up Table Mountain for views out over the city, coast, and ocean.

An ocean safari around the Cape Peninsula's islands gets you close to seals, seabirds, and dramatic coastal cliffs. You'll drive along Chapman's Peak for Atlantic Ocean views, visit Cape Point Lighthouse where two oceans meet, and explore Boulders Beach to see African penguins. Finish with dinner at Gold Restaurant for an immersive African experience back in Cape Town.
