- Day 1
Casablanca
You'll arrive in Casablanca and get transferred from the airport or hotel to start your trip. First stop is Hassan II Mosque, the largest in Morocco, which sits out on a peninsula into the Atlantic. After grabbing lunch on your own, you'll take a tour around the city with stops along the Casablanca Corniche. In the evening, you'll ride through the city in a convertible car, which is a nice way to see things as the sun starts to set.

Rabat - Chefchaouen
After breakfast, the car heads north along the coast toward Rabat. You'll stop at Hassan Tower, then the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and check out the Kasbah of the Oudayas. Later in the day after lunch on your own, you'll continue north through Ouazzane and arrive in Chefchaouen, known as the Blue City. It's up in the Rif Mountains and famous for all the blue and white painted buildings and winding alleys that make it look like nowhere else.

Volubilis - Fez
You'll have the morning to walk through Chefchaouen's blue and white streets, which is really the main draw of being here. From there, you travel inland to Volubilis, an ancient Roman site with mosaics, pillars, and arches still standing. It's a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco's most important archaeological locations. By evening you'll head to Fez, where you'll stay the night.

- Day 4
Fez
After breakfast, a guide takes you through Fez's main attractions for half the day. You'll see the Royal Palace gate, walk through the medieval medina which is a UNESCO site, and go through the Blue Gate called Bab Boujlould. Inside you'll find the Medersa Bouanania, Najjarine fountain, the old tanneries, and the Quaraouiyine Mosque and University, which happens to be the oldest university in the world. You'll also visit the Mellah or Jewish quarter. Before heading back to your riad, you'll climb to an ancient fortress that has panoramic views over the entire city.

- Day 5
Ifrane - Merzouga
You head south after breakfast toward Ifrane, sometimes called the Switzerland of Morocco because of the alpine-style houses and cooler mountain feel. The drive takes you through thick cedar forests, over the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and through the Ziz valley. You'll stop for lunch in Zaide and later grab tea at a small Berber cafe in Midelt. By early afternoon you'll reach Merzouga where you get on a camel and head into the Erg Chebbi sand dunes for the sunset. The night is spent at a luxury desert camp where you'll hear Berber music, do some stargazing, and just soak in the quiet desert atmosphere.

- Day 6
Todra Gorge - Dades Valley
You leave the desert early and travel to Rissani, which was once the capital of Tafilalet. It's got a big souk that's open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, and you'll have time to explore it. Next you go to Erfoud to see factories that work with fossilized marble. The route then goes through palm groves and oases around Touroug before reaching the Todra Gorge, where a river has carved through rock in a way that reminds people of the Grand Canyon. You'll walk through the gorges and eat lunch at a restaurant there. After that, you travel through Tinghir, cross the Dades Valley at Boumalne, and see a rock formation called Les Doigts de Singe or Monkey Fingers. That night you'll stay at a hotel.

- Day 7
Valley of Roses - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech
In the morning you head to Kalaa Magouna and the Valley of Roses. If you're traveling in May, there's a festival here celebrating roses with local producers showing their products. You'll continue through palm groves near Skoura and arrive in Ouarzazate, which sits at the gateway to the desert. There you see film studios where famous movies got shot. From there it's to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO site that's been used in films like Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy, and Game of Thrones. You'll cross the Tizi-N-Tichka pass through the High Atlas Mountains and come down into Marrakech where you'll stay in a riad.

- Day 8
Marrakech to Essaouira
Your driver picks you up at 8am for a full day trip to Essaouira, a medieval city on the coast. It's known for its Gnaoua music festival and has UNESCO World Heritage status. You'll see La Skala, Place Moulay El Hassan, the port, and ramparts. The narrow streets have old French and Portuguese architecture worth checking out. You can spend time on the beach, walk around the harbour, and have lunch at a restaurant right by the fishing port. The drive back to Marrakech takes around 6pm, so you'll have most of the day on the coast.

- Day 9
Marrakech
Today is yours to spend however you'd like in Marrakech. No scheduled activities or tours, so you can wander at your own pace, visit places you might have missed, sit in a cafe, or just relax at your riad.

- Day 10
High Atlas Valleys
You'll do a full-day trip into the High Atlas Mountains with an experienced guide. It starts in the Ourika Valley where you hike for about 90 minutes to see waterfalls and really nice views. Along the way you might see Berber women working with argan oil. Then you head to Oukaimden Valley on a quiet mountain road that goes up to around 1,800 meters elevation. You'll pass through traditional Berber villages and stop at Ait Fares Valley where a local family serves you a full lunch including soup, salad, Berber tajine, couscous, dessert, mint tea, and water, all while sitting with views of the mountains. Later you visit Asni Valley which is known for fruit trees and snowy High Atlas peaks in the distance. The return trip goes through Tahanaout Valley and you're back around 5pm.

Marrakech
After breakfast, a guide takes you around Marrakech. You'll see Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, and the Ben Youssef Mosque. Then you explore one of Morocco's biggest traditional souks where there's lots to see and buy. Around midday you'll take a lunch break near Jemaa El-Fna Square, which is the heart of the city. After lunch you'll visit the Koutoubia Mosque, one of the largest in Marrakech, and the Majorelle Garden. Once back at your accommodation, you're free to go out to Jemaa El-Fna Square on your own if you want to check it out.

Marrakech to Airport
On your final day, you'll have a short time to see more of Marrakech's red city before heading to the airport. Depending on when your flight leaves, you'll get transported to Marrakech Airport. The tour finishes with your airport transfer, ending your 12-day trip through Morocco.
