Itinerary
- Day 1
Mount Nimba to Monrovia
You'll start before dawn with a transfer heading toward Mount Nimba for a forest hike through thick vegetation where you might catch sight of rare birds and butterflies if you're lucky. The descent takes a few hours, and from there you'll stop at a couple of local villages to get a sense of how people live outside the cities. Later you'll arrive in Monrovia and spend time at the National Museum learning about Liberia's more recent past, then visit Providence Island. By evening you'll sit down to a traditional dinner with local flavors and dishes.

Monrovia
You'll start this morning with breakfast at a local café, then head to Waterside Market where you can browse handmade fabrics, wooden crafts, and fresh fruit from vendors. After shopping, a guide takes you on a walking tour through central Monrovia hitting the Centennial Pavilion, the Executive Mansion, and checking out the historic Ducor Hotel ruins. In the afternoon you'll catch music and dance performances at the Liberian National Cultural Center. Later you'll have dinner and hear live music at a beachside bar as the day winds down.

Robertsport
You're heading out early for Robertsport, a laid-back beach town where surfing is the main draw. The drive has nice views along the way, and once you arrive you can take surfing lessons or paddle around the Atlantic coast if that appeals to you more. Lunch features fresh seafood served under palm trees at one of the local spots. From there you'll explore the fishing village and climb Cape Mount for views out over the water. You can spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing on the beach or paddling in a kayak before heading back to Monrovia.
