Itinerary
- Day 1
Hanoi to Pu Luong Nature Reserve
You'll get picked up from your hotel in the Old Quarter at 7:00 AM for a 4-hour drive out to Pu Luong Nature Reserve, with a break halfway to stretch your legs. After grabbing lunch at a local restaurant, you'll check into your homestay and get settled. In the afternoon, you're heading out on a 2.5km walk to Ban Cong village, then crossing a suspension bridge to see the rice fields and hunt for those giant water wheels. From there, you'll do some bamboo rafting upstream before finishing up with a 2km loop trek through the villages. You should be back at the hotel by 5:00 PM. If you're interested, there's an optional cooking class in the evening with dinner at 7:00 PM.

Pu Luong Nature Reserve
After eating breakfast at 7:00 AM, you'll hop on a motorbike at 9:00 AM and ride through rural lanes to check out Kho Muong village, where Thai people live. Next you'll visit Bat Cave, which is the largest cave in the reserve, then head to Hieu village. Lunch happens by a scenic waterfall in the nature reserve. You'll have time to swim in the clear water and explore what daily life looks like in the local villages before riding back to your hotel by 4:00 PM. The evening offers another optional cooking class option and dinner at 7:00 PM.

Pu Luong Nature Reserve to Hanoi
Your final day starts with breakfast at 7:00 AM, then you'll take a leisurely walk down the valley heading to Don village at 8:45 AM. You'll continue walking through the terraced fields and pass through Uoi hamlet before getting down to Lan Village, which is known as the 'Kingdom of Thai People in Pu Luong.' There you can watch traditional brocade sewing and observe local daily life, and there's an optional bicycle ride if you want it. You'll check out by 11:30 AM and have lunch, then depart at 1:00 PM for the bus ride back to Hanoi, arriving at your hotel around 6:30 PM.
