  1. Day 1

    Arrival in Athens

    Land in Athens and your Ciconia representative will pick you up for the drive to your hotel. Later in the afternoon you'll attend a welcome meeting with your Tour Director and the rest of the group. Everyone gathers for dinner that evening, so you'll get to try some Greek cuisine right from the start.

  2. Day 2

    Athens City Tour

    This morning starts with a guided tour of Athens, driving around to see major landmarks with stops for photos at the Acropolis, Hadrian's Arch, and other historic sites. The afternoon is free to wander on your own. Come evening there's a group dinner with a folklore show and complimentary house wine included.

    Athens to Mykonos

    Head to Piraeus port and take a ferry across the Aegean Sea to Mykonos, arriving in the late afternoon. After checking into your hotel, you can walk through the narrow streets and check out the shops and cafes. Dinner happens at Platis Gialos beach, so you'll catch the island atmosphere right away.

  4. Day 4

    Mykonos and Delos Island

    Start your day with a guide who'll help you navigate Mykonos's maze-like streets around the port. Then you'll take a boat to Delos Island to see the ancient ruins where Apollo and Artemis were supposedly born. Back on Mykonos by evening, head to Little Venice for local seafood and sunset views, then the rest of the night is yours to explore.

If you want, head to Little Venice again for the sunset since it's worth seeing more than once.

  6. Day 6

    Mykonos to Santorini

    Ferry from Mykonos to Santorini this morning, and you'll see the Aegean views the whole way with steep cliffs and whitewashed houses coming into view. Once there, walk around the vibrant town to see the blue churches and white buildings. Dinner is at a restaurant in Oia with incredible views out over the water.

  7. Day 7

    Santorini

    Join a guided walking tour through Santorini's town center to find the famous landmarks and best viewpoints. Then take a short boat to the volcano's crater and hot springs. Later in the afternoon you'll watch the sunset from a pool up on the cliffs in Oia village. The evening is open for exploring Santorini's nightlife options.

    Santorini Free Day

  10. Day 10

    Athens to Nafplion via Corinth, Mycenae, and Epidaurus

    Following breakfast, travel toward Corinth with your guide. Tour the ancient kingdom of Mycenae, walking through the Atreus Tomb, Lion Gate, and Agamemnon's Royal Palace. Next you'll see the ancient amphitheater in Epidaurus, known for its exceptional acoustics, plus the Sanctuary of Asclepius. Before heading to Nafplion, there's a wine-tasting at a local Nemea winery, then dinner.

Later travel to Thermopylae, the historic site where King Leonidas and the Spartans made their stand against Persian invaders. Continue through green fields toward the village of Kalambaka.

    The hotels chosen are a little far from the city center for some cities and of average quality. Meals must be included in the price of the trip, which remains relatively expensive as even the activities are not included.
