- Day 1
Salt Lake City
You'll arrive in Salt Lake City this afternoon and have time to settle into your hotel and relax. This evening you'll meet your travel companions at a kick-off party with your Travel Director to get everyone ready for the Wild West journey ahead.

- Day 2
Jackson Hole
Start the day at the National Oregon/California Trail Centre in Montpelier, Idaho, where you'll see historically accurate exhibits with actors dressed as wagon masters and pioneers. You can walk through a gun shop and mercantile, and take a covered wagon ride. After a picnic-style lunch at the Centre, you'll head to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. There you'll walk under the famous arch made of tangled elk antlers and spend time exploring the Town Square with its Western boardwalks, craft boutiques, and shops, all with the Teton Range as a backdrop.

- Day 3
Jackson Hole
If the season allows, you can get up early for an optional scenic float trip down the Snake River with an expert guide who'll talk about the river's history, geology, and wildlife. It's a relaxing way to experience the river. Later you'll head back to your hotel for the evening.

- Day 4
Yellowstone National Park
Your Travel Director will take you through Yellowstone's geothermal features. You'll see Old Faithful, the geyser that shoots water every 90 minutes, and the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone with its distinctive colors and formations. The rest of the evening is free for you to do as you please.

Cody
You'll spend the day at the Buffalo Bill Center for the West, a museum complex with five different museums covering Buffalo Bill, Plains Indians, Western Art, and Natural History. This evening you have a Be My Guest experience at Billings Depot. You'll meet owners from 406 Native Roots, learn about local tribes, build a tipi using traditional methods, try braiding sacred sweetgrass, and have dinner prepared by award-winning Chef Stephen Hindman featuring Native American Fry Bread and local beverages.

Black Hills
You'll travel through Gillette, Wyoming, the Energy Capital of the US, and then head into South Dakota. The afternoon is spent at Crazy Horse Memorial where you can see this massive carved tribute to the Lakota warrior, the largest mountain carving in the world.

Badlands
You'll participate in a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER experience at the Oglala Lakota Living History Village on Pine Ridge Reservation. Walking with a local guide, you'll explore displays of living quarters from the 19th and 20th centuries and meet local artists who share their crafts and stories. After that, you'll visit the Ben Reifel Visitor Center to learn about local earth science, wildlife, history, and Indigenous communities through museum exhibits and a working Fossil Preparation Lab.

You'll head to the Black Hills of South Dakota to see Mount Rushmore with its giant carved faces of former American presidents etched into the stone cliffs. This evening you'll have a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER experience and farewell dinner with a Lakota Sioux Tribe Member, Stephen Yellowhawk or another tribe member, who'll share tribal history, culture, and traditions through dance and song.

Your Wild West adventure ends this morning after breakfast. You'll say goodbye to your new friends and depart from Rapid City at whatever time works for you.

Rapid City to Denver
You'll travel south through Wyoming's rolling prairies to Denver, the Mile High City at 5,280 ft/1,609 m, known for its coffeehouse and brewery scene. Along the way you can swap stories with fellow travelers about everything you've seen. You'll check into your downtown hotel for the night and get ready for your upcoming rail journey through the Rockies.

Landmarks Denver - Day 11
Denver to Glenwood Springs by Rail
Make your way to Denver's Union Station and board the Canyon Spirit train. You'll settle into a reclining seat with sweeping views through glass-dome windows as you head west. The train crosses the Continental Divide and follows the Colorado River past canyons, tunnels, and mountain towns. You can enjoy commentary from the onboard team, step onto the outdoor viewing platform for fresh air, and have meals served at your seat. You'll disembark in Glenwood Springs for your overnight stay.

Glenwood Springs to Moab by Rail
You'll board the Canyon Spirit again, leaving Glenwood Springs behind as you continue west. Today brings even more dramatic scenery with alpine vistas and deep sandstone canyons, plus chances to spot pronghorn on the open plains. As you cross into Utah, the landscape shifts to red rock formations. Approaching Moab, the gateway to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, you'll take in final views from your glass-dome seat. After arriving you'll transfer to your hotel, and the rest of the day is yours to explore or relax.

Moab to Salt Lake City by Rail
You'll leave Moab by motorcoach and travel to Thompson Springs to board the Canyon Spirit for the final stretch of your rail journey. You'll have a late lunch and dinner onboard while traveling through Castle Gate, the cliffs of Price River Canyon, Soldier Summit, and the Thistle tunnels. After passing Provo, your rail journey ends in Salt Lake City where you'll stay overnight in Utah's capital.
