Oslo
You'll arrive in Oslo and have the day to explore Norway's capital on your own terms. The city's got forests and parks covering about half the landscape, so there's plenty of green space mixed in with historical buildings and modern design. If you're interested, check out the outdoor sculptures and street art scattered around, or head to one of the nautical museums to see Norse heritage exhibits. Settle into your hotel for the night.

Oslo to Longyearbyen
Fly north from Oslo to Longyearbyen in the Arctic Circle, the world's northernmost territorial capital. You'll board the Discovery Yacht and get welcomed with champagne. Meet your butler in your suite, then head to the Scenic Lounge Bar to meet other guests and toast the start of your Arctic expedition.

Svalbard Archipelago
Today you'll get oriented to how the voyage works. The Discovery Team holds a presentation in the theatre explaining how zodiac landings, kayaking, and other activities will happen during your time here. Your Captain and Discovery Leader will pick the best sites based on weather and ice conditions each day, so the itinerary stays flexible as conditions change.

Svalbard Archipelago
Keep binoculars handy as you cruise through Svalbard looking for whales, Arctic foxes, seals, and seabirds. The Observation Lounge has Swarovski telescopes if you want a closer look at wildlife. Bring a telephoto lens if you're serious about photography. By evening, choose from up to 10 dining options, including Koko's Asian Fusion if that appeals to you.

Daily excursions by zodiac, kayaking, and nature walks take you to pristine Arctic locations.

Open your suite's blackout curtains to see the midnight sun and step onto your private verandah. Each day brings new views of glaciers in iceberg-filled waters and snow-capped mountains above green tundra. From the Observation Deck, you'll hear glaciers calving and watch for movement on ice and in the water. Daily Discovery excursions continue.

Today brings the polar plunge, a chance to jump into icy Arctic water if you're up for it. Your Discovery Team finds the right location and the yacht's marina gets set up for this. If you'd rather watch, grab hot chocolate from the viewing areas. After the plunge, warm up with a drink or head to the infrared saunas in the Senses Spa.

Longyearbyen to Oslo
