- DWDominic· April 4th, 2025This trip is very varied. Cities, mountains, seaside, temples, forests. Kitsch and spiritual - all there. 3-star hotel option was probably better than 3-star. You don't have a guide throughout so do your research and tell the driver what you want to see. They're very amenable. Remember some hotels are dry, so you may need to ask the driver to take you to a liquor store (an experience in itself!) We advise you to add Mahabalipuram to the itinerary. And maybe some extra time in Chennai, if you want to see it properly. We had a really brilliant time.Show more
