Highlights
- World famous lakeside towns of St. Wolfgang and Hallstatt: The two places seem almost kitsch when you stroll along the promenades and squares in the sunshine. The architecture steeped in history, the traditional customs and the customs and wonderful traditional dress make these gems seem very special.
- Imperial City of Bad Ischl: Taste the traditional pastry shops, walk in the footsteps of the Empress and visit the imperial locations around the Imperial Villa. Let yourself take in the Imperial flair.
- World Cultural Heritage Hallstatt-Dachstein: Rugged rock faces and narrow valleys characterise the region as much as the historical salt mine and charming architecture. Humans and nature have lived here in constant symbiosis for around 3,000 years.
- Hiking in the midst of a fascinating mountain and lake landscape: The alpine views are fascinating from all angles, but you can still hike here in a cosy atmosphere. Beauty as far as the eye can see, whether on the Schafberg, the Katrin Alm or the Eternal Wall.

- Thomas· May 18th, 2024Highly recommend this trip. The days can be long but the views are worth it. Most of the route is paved so you can probably get away with hiking shoes or trail running shoes. There is luggage transfer available but I didn't need it. The route from Unken to Waidring could be updated but I was able to find an alternate route with the map. Before you start you're given the full itinerary with a navigation system on the app as well as paper copies of everything.Show more
- Scott· October 19th, 2022Beautiful country. The hotels were very comfortable, clean, and safe. the downside was I was the only person on my tour/ circuit. I was so hoping for there to be others that I could have run into and hiked with. However, it was near the end of the season. So my mistake. With Eurohike I had to prompt them to give me information. Like my hotel literary, and hike guide. also I learned after arriving that there was an app that was essential to navigating the trails. Since there are so many junctions and side trails on the course. It took 2 days to get the guide files. As a result for the first 2 days of hiking I lost track a few times & had to back track to get back on the desired trail. I'm sure if I was with other hikers this wouldn't have been as big a challenge. Overall a fairly great experience. Hopefully going to do another one with the lessons I have learned from this one.Show more
- Martina· May 9th, 2025Hotel choices were great, walking routes were challenging at times due to gain in elevation but what goes up must come down so that helped! Beautiful to experience the peace and tranquility of the countryside.Show more
