Itinerary

Arusha
You'll arrive in Arusha where your guide meets you along with the other travelers on the trip. After getting oriented at your accommodation, you'll have time to settle in and go over what to expect from the safari. This first day is really about preparing yourself for the wildlife parks ahead and getting comfortable with your group.

Arusha to Manyara National Park
Head out early for the drive to Lake Manyara National Park, which sits along the Rift Valley. By afternoon you'll be on a game drive looking for lions, giraffes, and flamingos scattered throughout the park. The landscape here is particularly nice, and you'll see how the terrain changes as you move between different habitats.

Landmarks Lake Manyara National Park - Day 3
Manyara to Serengeti National Park
This morning you'll visit Olduvai Gorge, one of the most significant paleoanthropological sites in the world where early human fossils were found. After exploring this historical location, you'll drive into Serengeti National Park and head to your camp for the evening.

- Day 4
Serengeti National Park
You'll spend your entire day on safari in Serengeti. Extended game drives take you across the vast plains where you search for the Big Five and other wildlife. The scale of the landscape here really hits different once you're out there driving through it.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After a morning game drive through Serengeti, you'll head out and make your way toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive gives you a chance to see how the terrain gradually shifts as you leave Serengeti behind and approach your next destination.

Ngorongoro Crater
An early start gets you into Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. This natural amphitheater is where you'll search for the Big Five and other wildlife in one of Africa's most distinctive landscapes. The crater walls surround you completely, creating a unique environment for spotting animals.

Ngorongoro to Tarangire National Park
You'll drive to Tarangire National Park, which is known for housing some of Tanzania's largest elephant herds. Once you arrive, an afternoon game drive lets you explore the park and see these impressive animals along with other wildlife in the area.

Tarangire to Kilimanjaro Airport
Your safari comes to an end today. You'll make the drive from Tarangire toward Kilimanjaro Airport, heading back to civilization after your time in the parks. Depending on your flight time, you might have a chance to grab lunch before heading to the airport.
