Arrival in Taipei
Your driver meets you at Taoyuan International Airport and takes you by private car to your hotel in downtown Taipei. Once you check in, the rest of the day is yours to relax and settle in after your flight.

Taipei
Start with a guided tour at Longshan Temple, then head to the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall to catch the changing of the guard ceremony. From there, you'll go to Taipei 101 and take the high-speed elevator up to the 89th-floor observatory deck for views across the city. After lunch, spend time at the National Palace Museum looking at their collections. Later in the evening, make your way to Shilin Night Market where you can try 5 to 6 different local dishes and street snacks.

Jiufen - Shifen
After breakfast, you'll drive about 1 hour to Yehliu Geological Park to see the unusual rock formations shaped by erosion. Then it's on to Jiufen where you can walk through old buildings and traditional teahouses. Next, head to Shifen Village in Pingxi and stroll to Shifen Waterfall, which is Taiwan's largest ledge waterfall. You'll also explore Shifen Old Street that runs alongside the railway tracks. The highlight comes when you release a sky lantern with your wish before heading back to Taipei.
