- Lee· December 29th, 2024This was a combined trip/s from Berlin to Budapest and then Budapest to Spit so I had an experience with two different tour groups. The scenery and history is explained so well by our tour guide and learning more about the Serb/Bosnian war was invaluable. Auschwitch was cold, wet and raining and it depicted the conditions under which these people had to survive. Very moving day indeed for all. Budapest has such beautiful scenery and lovely icecream, cakes and chocolates! Spit is a walled city and I was there before the crowds which made it more comfortable for all.Show more

Asked on June 4th, 2025is it possible to add on an additional day at the start/end of the trip? Are the hotels located within walking distance to the Christmas markets and other attractions? how much "free time" do we get each day to explore on our own?

Most hotels are fairly centralized to the cities they are in in some cases they will be fairly close to the markets. After the checking out the Markets you will have your free time to wander and explore at your leisure.

Are the participants primarily American? Looking at the tour and allotted time in each city, is there enough time in each city to have a reasonable experience? Or is this a more focused experience? For example, is one day enough time to experience Warsaw?

The tour does not include airport pick-up and drop-off but we can offer it for an extra cost. The hotel will be able to call a taxi or shuttle for you on the departure day. Max travelers per departure is 16. We usually have a mix of American, Canadian and European travelers. You will have minimum 2 days in each city aside Wroclaw, which is the smallest town you will visit. We recommend arriving one day earlier in Warsaw so that you can have more time there. You will have plenty of free time during the tour, where you can wonder around, visiting the various Christmas markets, however, this is a fully escorted tour and you will be led by a local tour leader at all times.
