Arrival in Tokyo
Your flight lands in Tokyo and a driver meets you at the arrival hall, then takes you to your hotel by private car. It's a straightforward transfer so you can settle in without stress.
- Day 2
Tokyo
This day is yours to explore Tokyo however you'd like. You might check out Meiji Jingu Shrine, which is dedicated to Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken, or wander through Shinjuku Gyoen if the cherry blossoms are in bloom. Ueno Park is another option with its zoo, museums, and seasonal flowers depending on when you visit.

Mt. Fuji Excursion
After heading to Fujikawaguchiko, you'll get views of Mt. Fuji combined with local heritage. The Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway takes you up to Kawaguchiko Tenjozan Park where observation decks look out over both the mountain and Lake Kawaguchi. From there, you'll explore Oshino Hakkai, a small village built around eight natural springs that come from volcanic lava.

Hakone to Kyoto via Shinkansen
Hakone is the main stop today in the Kanto region. You'll cross Lake Ashi on the Pirate Ship with Mt. Fuji in view, then ride the ropeway to Owakudani volcanic crater to see steam vents and purchase local black jade. The Mishima Skywalk suspension bridge comes next at 400 meters long, offering views of Mt. Fuji and Suruga Bay. Later, you'll board the Shinkansen bullet train from Odawara to Kyoto and check in at your hotel.

Kiyomizu-dera Temple has panoramic city views and is a World Heritage site, while Yasaka Shrine and Hanamikoji Dori street are nearby. With over 1000 years of history as Japan's former capital, there's plenty of cultural and architectural sites to discover.

Arashiyama
This half-day walking tour through Arashiyama takes you to Tenryuji Temple with its sprawling gardens, then aboard the Sagano Scenic Railway along the Hozugawa River through forested areas. After that comes the iconic Sagano Bamboo Forest where you'll hear the wind moving through the stalks. You'll also see the Togetsukyo Bridge and visit Okochi-Sanso, which has traditional Japanese architecture and a wabi-sabi teahouse.

Start at Fushimi Inari Shrine on Mount Inari with its thousands of vermilion torii gates and forest trails. Next, the Gekkeikan Okura Sake Museum lets you try traditional sake made with underground water and brewing methods passed down for generations. Later you'll head to Nara Park to see over 1000 freely roaming sacred deer, then visit Todaiji, one of Japan's most famous temples built back in 752.
