- Day 1
Fairbanks
You'll arrive in Fairbanks at different times, so there's no organized group activity scheduled. After you get settled at your hotel, the rest of the day is yours to wander around the city and get a feel for the place. Stop by some local shops or grab dinner somewhere to adjust to the new time zone.

Fairbanks to Denali
This morning you'll board the Sternwheeler Discovery riverboat for a scenic journey along the water that shows off Alaska's culture and history with several stops along the way. From there, a motor coach takes you to Denali National Park. By evening, you'll watch a musical performance about the first climbers to reach the summit of Denali, followed by dinner.

Denali
Early in the day, you'll head out on the Tundra Wilderness Tour deep into Denali National Park, which gives you the best shot at seeing wildlife. Your guide will fill you in on the park's history and explain what makes Denali such a big draw for visitors. The rest of your day is completely open, so you can rest or explore on your own.

Denali to Talkeetna
You'll travel by luxury domed railcar to Talkeetna, with glass ceilings and open-air observation decks so you can see everything. The rail guides give you commentary about the landscape as you go. After you arrive, you'll check into the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge, which sits on a ridge with great views of Denali and the surrounding area.

Talkeetna to Whittier
After leaving Talkeetna, you'll head toward your ship with a stop in Anchorage. The drive takes you along the Chugach Mountains and Turnagain Arm. Before boarding, you'll visit the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center to see orphaned and injured bears, wolves, porcupines, and moose spread across 200 acres. Later you'll board the Holland America cruise ship Westerdam in Whittier.

Your ship will cruise up to Hubbard Glacier when conditions allow it. This is one of Alaska's largest glaciers, so have your camera ready to capture the glacier's surface and all the details you'll see from the water.

Glacier Bay

Skagway

Juneau

Ketchikan
