You'll board the AMADEUS in Lyon at 4:00pm and get settled into your cabin. Later this evening, you'll join other passengers for a Welcome Cocktail and Welcome Dinner before the ship departs at 22:00.

Mâcon
Arriving in Mâcon at 6:00am puts you right in Burgundy's wine country. A guided tour takes you through the vineyards of Beaujolais and Maconnais, then you'll visit the Hameau Duboeuf wine museum for a tasting. The afternoon gives you a choice between touring Cluny Abbey or Château de Pierreclos before the ship departs at 18:00.

This morning you'll travel the Burgundy wine route with stops in Chalon-sur-Saône to see its half-timbered houses and galleries. You'll drive through vineyards and stop in Beaune to check out the Hotel-Dieu and do a wine tasting. The afternoon lets you choose between visiting the medieval towns of Brançion and Cormatin or relaxing onboard. The ship stays overnight in Tournus.

Another option is hitting the covered Paul Bocuse market to sample local food. The ship departs at 12:00.

The Palace of the Popes with its Gothic architecture and the famous Pont d'Avignon are both highlights. After lunch, you'll head to the hilltop town of Uzès and see the Pont du Gard Roman aqueduct. This evening brings dinner and local music entertainment onboard before the ship heads toward Arles.

Arles was a major Roman city and inspired painter Vincent van Gogh, and you'll explore the old town and the impressive Roman amphitheater where gladiator fights happened. After lunch, you'll venture into Camargue Nature Park to see salt marshes, white horses, Camargue bulls, and greater flamingos. The ship departs at 18:30.

Le Pouzin - Tournon
You've got two choices today: explore the Ardèche Gorge (sometimes called the 'Grand Canyon of Europe') with its limestone cliffs, or visit a local truffle farm for a tasting. After that, you'll rejoin the ship in Le Pouzin for lunch. The afternoon takes you to Tournon and the Valrhona Chocolate Museum where you can explore the Rhône Valley and try French chocolates. Tonight's a Gala Dinner celebrating the cruise.
