- Day 1
Departure
Your journey to South Africa starts with a trip to the airport. You'll board your flight to Cape Town and settle in for the long flight ahead.
- Day 2
Cape Town
After landing in Cape Town, you'll collect your rental car and head to the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. The area has street performers, shops, and cafes with Table Mountain rising behind everything. If you're interested, the Cape Wheel offers city views from above, or check out the Castle of Good Hope for some history.

Cape Point
Drive to Boulders Beach where African penguins hang out among the granite rocks. From there, continue to Cape Point for views of False Bay and Diaz Beach from the clifftop. There's a cog railway if you'd rather not hike up to the highest point.

Hermanus - Swellendam
Head to Hermanus, a coastal town famous for whale watching. Bring binoculars and scan the cliffs for whales in the water below. Later, drive to Swellendam and explore Marloth Nature Reserve with its hiking trails, waterfalls, natural pools, and chances to spot rare birds and wildlife.

Plettenberg Bay
Travel through Wilderness National Park along the Garden Route. The park has rock formations, reflective lakes, waterfalls, and natural pools, with hiking and water activities available if you want them. By evening, you'll reach Plettenberg Bay and can check out Lookout Beach and the lagoon where the river meets the sea.

Addo Elephant National Park
Spend time in Tsitsikamma National Park exploring dense forests, the dramatic coastline, and its famous suspension bridges. Zipline adventures are available if that interests you. Later, drive to your accommodation near Addo Elephant National Park and watch the sunset over the hills and forest while listening to wildlife sounds.

Landmarks/POIs Tsitsikamma National Park Addo Elephant National Park - Day 7
Oudtshoorn
Drive deeper into Addo National Park toward the waterholes where elephant herds gather to drink. You'll see these gentle giants in their natural habitat and might spot lions and other Big Five wildlife too. Then head to Oudtshoorn, known as the Ostrich Capital, and settle into accommodation in the Little Karoo region surrounded by ostrich farms.

Stellenbosch
Travel Route 62 with its wide open landscapes, winding mountain passes, and endless vineyards. Stop at Diesel and Creme Diner in Barrydale for a burger and milkshake. You'll arrive in Stellenbosch later and can try optional wine tasting at local estates like Warwick Wine Estate.

Head back to Cape Town and drop off your rental car at the station. This marks the end of your road trip after experiencing safaris, beaches, and those memorable sunsets.
